Western PA always has a bunch of movement in recruiting, whether someone is being offered or committing. Since around late July, there have been numerous updates that I’ve missed, so I’m back again to inform y’all what’s been going down on the recruiting front. This will be a two-part series, so relax and allow me to get you all caught up in the recruiting world.
CHARLIE MEEHLEIB AND BRANDON BIAGIARELLI COMMIT TO D1 FCS BUCKNELL
Meehlieb is another D1 talent who plays for Elizabeth Forward and is already committed to D1 FCS Bucknell. He has violent hands with a college-level frame, standing at 6’4 and weighing 220 lbs. Charlie’s motor and redirection skills are big advantages in run defense. Meehleib also showcases a swift get-off with a low pad-level that aids him well when applying pressure on the QB. Charlie excels at engaging and disengaging offensive blockers in run pursuit. I believe if Charlie were to add weight, he could play DT on the Division 1 level too.
Brandon committed to D1 Bucknell in August and hasn’t looked back since. The 6’2, 220-pound LB/RB had a productive Week 0, accounting for a score and 201 rushing yards in a 35-14-point victory. Biagiarelli is Avonworth’s biggest leader and playmaker on the team. Brandon chose Bucknell over Toledo, Maine, Montana State, Youngstown, UPENN, Georgetown, Fordham, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Colgate.
TEAMMATES KABRON SMITH AND BRANDON CHAMBERS RECEIVE OFFERS
KB recently received his first football offer from D2 Fairmont State University in the MEC. Kabron is an accurate passer who displays intelligence and poise in the pocket. He uses his mobility to evade pressure while keeping his eyes planted downfield. Smith’s throwing form is adequate, and his QB mechanics are sharp. He’s been on the radar of various D1 programs such as UCONN, Akron, Penn State, Syracuse, Saint Francis, Youngstown, and Fordham, but hasn’t been offered. Smith leads a Farrell roster that’s full of scholarship talent.
Brandon recently received another offer from Fairmont State as well in the Mountain East Conference. He has great size, and he’s a versatile DB with a college build, standing at 6’2 and weighing 190 pounds. His frame is very intriguing, especially since he’s a competitive press cornerback with lockdown man coverage skills. Brandon’s also a physical cloud CB in Cover 2 coverage with next-level ball skills, showcased on interceptions and touchdown passes from his wide receiver position. Chambers also has offers from D1 Morgan State, Maine, and D2 Clarion.
Joe Dolinski PICKS UP HIS 2ND FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP
Joe Dolinski is off to a great start for his senior season. The 2024 OL received another D2 offer last week from Seton Hill, another PSAC program. Dolinski has FBS bloodlines, with his father Joel having started for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Dolinski improves every time I watch him on tape, and he performed well in person at SFU’s prospect camp. D1 programs such as Toledo, Lehigh, and Saint Francis have expressed interest but haven’t offered thus far.
