The 6’5′ 240lb Southern Illinois commit looked good on the night using his length and speed to be disruptive. Tyrese is quick and explosive off the ball and does a nice job running down plays from the backside and down field. He also had an impressive night played offensive tackle for the Statesmen and never left the field. He does a good job from his defensive end position to use his long arms and reach against the run and especially to get his hands up and block passing lanes or bat down throws. It’s no wonder schools are still recruiting him despite his commitment, including several Big 12 programs.
Clark Bias Jr. WR/DB 2024
I was really impressed with the lightning quick Bias Jr. on the night. Clark used his speed, quickness and quick twitch athleticism to make plays on offense, defense and special teams. He was WG’s leading receiver with 5 catches for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively he had 7 total tackles, and 43 yards in returns on special teams. He showed a lot of toughness and no quit on the night in helping his team in all facets of the game.

QB 2026
The 6-foot-3 sophomore surprised me with his play. I hadn’t expected to see him as the Statesmen signal-caller but he quickly caught my attention with his size, arm strength and ability to spin the ball. Travers had a pretty good night completing 15 of 28 passed for 257 yards and 4 touchdowns, but he also had 3 interceptions in the game. He faced a lot of pressure and a good defensive effort from the Huskies and showed a lot of poise and smarts running the offense. He has a bright future if he continues to develop.
Jabari Booth RB 2024
The quick and agile Booth showed nice playmaking ability, especially catching the ball out of the backfield and had 3 receptions for 84 yards on the night.
Deshawn Buford OG/DT 2024
The 6’2″ 250 senior two-way lineman did a good job on both sides of the line and is the best offensive linemen the Statesmen have. He is also impressive on the defensive side of the ball at DT and may actually be better on the next level at that position.
