Here are some players that stood out in the game:
Kueter stood out last season at defensive end. In 2023, he’s playing middle linebacker, where his older brother, Ben Kueter, lined up last season. Sam looked more comfortable in the new spot during this game than he did in Week 2 against Liberty. No matter where he lines us, he’s an aggressive, physical football player. His frame can add bulk without losing athleticism.
Woods produces on both sides of the ball for the Trojans. That’s not easy to do in Class 5A, especially at positions – safety, receiver, return man – that require a lot of running and contact. Woods is a high-end athlete with plenty of room to grow, physically and mentally within the game. He caught four passes for 60 yards and recorded 7.0 tackles (6 solo) on this night.
Miles Parlet
Miles Parlet
Parlet got loose for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 34 carries. He displayed toughness and breakaway speed in chewing up ground. He pushed his season-total to 442 yards on 77 rushes. Parlet impresses with his vision and patience in allowing plays to unfold. He hits the holes hard when they open and gets to top speed quickly.
Julian “Juju” Manson is the son of former Iowa Hawkeye player and current coach Jason Manson. Juju stands out as a long-limbed, quick-twitch athlete on the football field just like he does on the basketball court. He runs well and looks fluid on both sides of the ball. He caught two passes and recorded 5.5 tackles (5 solo) in this game.
Madlock is settling into the role of big-play receiver in the Little Hawk offense. He’s caught 14 passes for 328 yards (23.4 YPR) with two touchdowns. In the Boot, he hauled in five catches for 133 yards, including a 31-yarder he housed. Madlock (6-0, 175) offers good size at the position to go with solid speed. He makes plays in space.

Miller paced the Trojans with 9.0 tackles (5 solo) against City High. He delivered a 52-yard Pick-6 in a rivalry win against Liberty earlier this season. His 36.0 tackles in ’23 are the most on his team. The stops highlight his high motor and nose for the ball. He likes physicality.
Tyler Rindels
Tyler Rindels
City High’s offense line is coming together and stood out in this contest. Rindels lines up at left tackle. He’s an intriguing prospect as a guy that moves fluidly and shows good footwork. His frame looks like it can comfortably add bulk and strength. He’s athletic.
