Reggie Cavanaugh
Reggie Cavanaugh
The effectiveness of Reggie on tape comes from his agility that comes thru with fluid first step with the football, either in the passing game or the run. The productivity that came out of Reggie over the past couple weeks in the passing game show off a good base of instinctive vision, as although not the biggest back on the field this young man shows off plenty of consistency. Reggie is openly consistent with his change of direction and uses it with solid versatility from the inside box to the outside edges, as a prospect that would be a great small school gem for those NAIA schools in the Dakotas. Tee is a prospect we have seen grow from the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase to now, as an athlete on both sides of the ball that is coming into his own at the quarterback position. Last week against Larimore, Tee showed off a swifter release from what I had gathered from evaluating him earlier this season as a quarterback that has grown even after four short weeks with his football IQ offensively. Even defensively, that vision Tee possesses has grown as well, as he’s gotten quicker since the first week of the season with his hands and has a stronger rip off ability with his hands getting off his blocks and getting to the ball carrier with a smoother angle to the ball. He also is growing with his poise in the pocket as we have seen progression with his touch throws that accumulate balanced precision for his receivers. Tee is certainly showing to be a 2025 stockriser by our next rankings update and has ideal measurables with his versatility at the next-level. A two-time nominee this season for North Dakota Big Dogs of the Week here at Prep Redzone Dakotas. Twitter

Treyton is a defensive end that is another North Dakota prospect on the rise in my eyes, as his lengthy motor he plays extends well beyond the inside box that can get to the edges of the field, yet is consistent with his containing presence stopping the run inside. I have seen Treyton grow since Week 1 with his first step, and continuing to grow with working his hands off quicker with his shedding ability has to show off plenty of upside for these college programs tracking him week by week. I certainly would expect this young man to gain more attention this fall as I certainly see a DE prospect in the NSIC in my eyes from one of the Dakotas or upper Minnesota schools. Twitter

Isaac Zeis
Isaac Zeis
You probably see the word consistency throughout our content, and West Fargo Sheyenne LG Isaac Zeis showed that last Friday night up front for the Mustangs. At 6’2 235 pounds, Isaac showed off some strong positioning with the use of his hands and pad-level against a tough Bismarck Century team. He showed off a quick trigger with his first step to provide assurance that even if the defensive linemen tried a move on him, he was right there and showed off fluid driving ability with his footwork. He has one offer thus far locally, and seems like another prospect from our Week 3/4 list that will draw further attention as we get closer to mid-season and beyond. Twitter
Carter logged three total touchdowns last week against Fargo Davies, but what pops out best on tape was his reps I watched at middle linebacker. Carter was super consistent with his vision over the middle of the field and had the explosive traits to persistently get into the mesh of the ball carriers play after play on tape. I like the softness of his hands when he gets off his blocks as he is a prospect that plays with a big motor on all three levels of the football field. I have to say I am surprised at 6’1 205 pounds this young man doesn’t have more offers yet, as to me he certainly shows off a linebacker prospect that should be playing on Saturdays. Twitter
Brock is a Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum that I believe has found his natural position for the next-level after watching last weeks tape which he recorded seven tackles in which three of those were for a loss against Thompson. Where Brock has risen most in my eyes, is how much more developed his positioning has gotten with his angles to the ball carrier as he has developed his football IQ swiftly since my last evaluation and also has grown with how much more strength he’s gotten off his blocks. He has also gotten more agile with his hands and the Division III and NAIA schools certainly saw that at camps this summer and I am sure have seen more of his growth as we reach towards the middle of the 2023 season. Smashing hands are the first two words that come out of my mouth when I watch Kade’s tape from Week 3. The instinct that this young man has shown me since camp season is why he’s been a hot commodity amongst Division I programs since watching his camp performance in Grand Forks this summer. Kade’s versatility has also amped up for those Division I schools, as his first step he showed off on the Mustangs offensive line shows off a OL prospect that will consistently get leverage into the second level. No one in North Dakota’s 2025 class has had a bigger summer than Kade Pietrzak Kade Pietrzak 6’5″ | 255 lbs | DL West Fargo Sheynne | 2025 State ND as the Roughrider State’s next linemen up to play at the Power Five level. Cameron Kiefstad
Cameron Kiefstad
It is no secret by now that I LOVE the 2025 class that the Grand Forks Red River Roughriders have and last week it was 6’3 210 defensive end Cameron Kiefstad that caught my eyes. Cameron shows off a heck of a motor that is built for disruption on both sides of the ball. I like the awareness Cameron plays with on both sides of the ball as a prospect that looks like a defensive end at the next-level based on his elusive hands and smooth shedding ability thru contact, however has the versatility for offense too, as I like his hands and football IQ around the edges of the field as a pass-catcher. Certainly another Roughrider to watch in 2025 out of Grand Forks. Twitter rn
Gavin Lill
Gavin Lill
With 170 yards from scrimmage last week for the Patriots, I loved what I saw out Bismarck Century’s Gavin Lill on tape. His length of his strides and his vision popped out early for me, as an athlete that just has a steady knack with his football IQ. The athleticism Gavin has also has strong durability running thru contact in his 6’1 170 pound frame. I love how well Gavin sees the field downhill regardless if he is a pass-catcher or a north-south runner as it is no wonder Division II schools have been high on this young man over the last few months.
