We take a look at some of the Freshman wide receivers that have made an impact for their teams through the first half of the 2023 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1096368' first='Hudson' last='Hill']- Prince Ave

Leading freshman in total catches with 27. Great hands, good route runner with speed. Doesn't mind catching the ball in traffic. Has one of the top passers in the state, Georgia Tech commit [player_tooltip player_id='321460' first='Aaron' last='Philo'] throwing him the ball. Highly ranked baseball player in the middle school ranks last season. He is averaging close to 16 yards per reception with 6 TDs through the 1st 6 games for #1 ranked PAC.

Colin Eishen-Apalachee

The 5'11 freshman has been an example of what Apalachee is building for the future. 18 catches for 440 yards and 2 TDs through the 1st 5 games. Good speed that can stretch the field. Sure handed receiver that is not afraid of traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='210612' first='Carson' last='Bruce']- North Cobb Christian

The 6'0 180 HB/LB/LS is one to definitely put on your radar. Athletic build with good hands that is physical after the catch. Has 17 catches for 422 and 3 TDs through the 1st 5 games for the 4-2 Eagles. Old school guy that rarely leaves the field on Friday nights playing defense and special teams and can do a little long snapping. Good potential for Bruce going forward over the next 4 years.

[player_tooltip player_id='580115' first='Keyon' last='Standifer']-Athens Academy

Another Athens Area kid with a bright future. The 5'9 WR/DB has the speed and athleticism to be a big time player on the high school level going forward. Efficient so far in '23. Only has 10 catches so far through 5 games but is averaging close to 35 yards a catch and has scored 3 TDs, including a 69 yard TD vs Mount Vernon this past week. Great nose for the football at DB and has good body control and closing speed. One to watch in the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='416465' first='Brayden' last='Stoker']-Gordon Lee

More of a RB that can catch the ball out of the backfield. Great size at 6'3 200, Stoker has made a splash on the NWGA high school football scene the 1st half of his freshman season. One of the state freshman leaders in receptions at 10 for 144 yards. He has added 37 carries for 355 yards and 7 TDs out of the backfield. Definitely has all the tools to play at the next level and has a great coaching staff at Gordon Lee to help his development over the next 4 years.
