Mountain View started off the season with two elite wins against both Rocky Mountain and Meridian. They dropped their last game to a tough Owyhee squad 24-17 and will look to bounce back in this top matchup with Borah, who is lead by Boise State commit [player_tooltip player_id='484475' first='Trevor' last='McKenna']. The Mavericks have a host of talent on the offensive side of the ball lead by [player_tooltip player_id='861736' first='Henry' last='Nelson'], [player_tooltip player_id='540331' first='Justin' last='McGee'], and a big front line with the likes of Starkel and McGinnis. On the defensive side of the ball, it is also star studded with Grizzle and Jones in the middle of the defensive front, and Moriarty at the second level. Mountain View might have the best corner in the state in McBride, as he can shut down the entire half of a field with his length, ball skills, tackling ability and open field range/speed.

Borah comes into this matchup with a perfect 4-0 record, but has not played the same level or competition as Mountain View to start the season. They have compiled wins over Capital, Timberline, Nampa and Kuna while averaging only giving up two scores per game. Borah is lead by their huge line up front, and have found a very nice ball carrier in [player_tooltip player_id='1135306' first='Jevon' last='Nelson'], who has rushed for 177 yards per game over four weeks. The receiving leader of the group is [player_tooltip player_id='541110' first='Tanner' last='Sittser'], and he has hauled in just under 100 yards receiving per game. McKenna leads the defense and is averaging 7 tackles per game while adding another 7.5 sacks in four weeks and has been unblock-able coming from both the interior and the edge. Look for Kael Anderson to also help lead the charge as he is over the 23 tackle mark through four weeks of this season.
