QB | Eli Boyce | Hudl
Stats: 72/111 (64.9%) 993yds, 8TDs, 135 RushYds, 5TDs
Eli has come out and played great for Holland Christian through four games. Just looking at his highlights, Eli shows improvement from last season while his stats show an increase in efficiency. First off, he has a ton of deep ball highlights where he’s able to hit his man in stride 35+ yards downfield. He also has highlights attacking the middle of the field, sidelines, etc all with great throw power and placement. There are several highlights where Eli is able to throw just above a linebacker / DB to where his receiver can catch it. He also looks exceptionally calm in the pocket, never scrambles unnecessarily, and he gets the ball out relatively quick. There’s a lot to love about Eli’s film, and he’s an obvious future college QB.
QB | Ryland Watters Ryland Watters 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Rochester Adams | 2026 State MI | Hudl
Stats: 482Yds, 2TDs, 5.9YPC, 399 Pass Yds, 5TDs, 2INTs
Ryland has taken the Adams QB position in stride, and his numbers are quite good. A Veer QBs main focus is the rushing attack, and he’s done that quite well. When Ryland makes the read to keep it, he’s a hard north-south runner and oftentimes fights for extra yards. I actually think that Ryland is a skilled thrower as well. He has quite a few pass yards through 4 weeks (for an option QB) and his highlights showcase some good balls. A few nicely-placed throws over opposing DBs and you can’t be upset with a 5-2 INT ratio for this offense. Adams is in good hands with Ryland at QB, and he has an opportunity to impress further as the league schedule picks up.
RB | PJ DeYoung PJ DeYoung 5'7" | 200 lbs | RB Paw Paw | 2025 MI | Hudl
Stats: 535 Rush Yds, 6.9YPC, 12TDs, 22Tkls, 1TFL
PJ has burst onto the scene as Paw Paw’s RB1. The first few clips of the below highlights are very impressive. Clip #1 shows good acceleration and the ability to get to run up the sideline to maximize his carry. The next highlight shows a few decent cuts through the defense as he cuts to the middle of the field for the TD. The rest of his film shows quite a few demonstrations of contact balance, good athleticism, more good vision, and more. PJ currently grades out as a potential DIII prospect for me, but with one more exceptional offseason, he can continue bolstering his stock.
RB | Jayden Terry Jayden Terry 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB Grandville | 2026 State MI | Hudl
Stats: 692 Yds, 12TDs, 9.1YPC, 2rec, 86yds, 1TD
Jayden has picked up right where he left off following his incredible Freshman campaign. Watch the film and you’ll know. Better yet, see him perform in person. Jayden is not your typical Wing-T RB who gets a ton of yards souley based on the offensive system. He’s also not one-dimentional as some Wing-T backs are. Jayden has the explosiveness, vision, power, and quick-cut ability to be a bellcow back at the Division 1 college level. Jayden is also able to run with great patience, waiting for holes to develop, and more often than not fall forward on all of his runs. Great stats, amazing production, and a film that’s truly fun to watch!
OL | Maxwell Stoecker Maxwell Stoecker 6'2" | 250 lbs | OL Midland | 2025 State MI | Hudl
Stats: Offense – 37 Pancakes, 5 Pressures, 0 Sacks, 0 holds | Defense – 7 Tackles, 10 Pressures, 1 Sack
Max is a mauler of an O-Lineman who I feel will end up being a great interior lineman likely at the D2 level. His run blocking ability is where I see the most upside, as he appears to have a whopping 37 pancakes over just 3 games. In that span, Midland faced Cadillac, Mt. Pleasant, and Carman-Ainsworth, so these stats are against solid competition. Max has a powerful first step, and once he’s engaged with his target, the feet get driving and he’s oftentimes completely outmatches his opponent.
Like a lot of lineman not in a predominately pass-oriented system, the pass blocking could use work. Though I’ve seen prominent DII (and even MAC) schools offer many linemen who need work in pass sets, so long as they dominate the run game like Max does. You also have to like that Max plays some defense. Even on D, Max shows some power and the ability to get in there to disrupt the play. Max may need to work on getting his name out there in the offseason as most have to, but as long as he goes to a few camps, I am confident he’ll earn some attention.
ATH | Christopher Murphy Christopher Murphy 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Grand Rapids Union | 2025 MI -Ware | Hudl
Stats: 326 AP Yds, 4 Touchdowns, 19 Receptions
Chris Ware is one of the best overall weapons in the entire OK Conference. He’s shown it during the offseason and he’s shown it on film below; this is an explosive two-way athlete that deserves collegiate attention. The first thing that jumps out at me is his open-field ability. Chris shows great vision on several of his highlights, and he’s able to use that vision in combination with his athleticism to weave through defenders while still running north-south. The speed also jumps out the tape, and he has good explosiveness with his release, though his fundamentals can be touched up a bit (Routes and release). He also has a few defensive highlights that show him stopping the run.
