Caldwell remains available to the market and continues to light up defenses. In my opinion, he's one of the best-remaining WRs on the market. He hasn't missed a beat even after transferring this year to a bigger program. He's been the heart and soul of the passing attack and is getting more confident in the new system. He's so shifty and does a good job getting open on multiple levels. Through 3 games, he's got 2 100 yard games and 3 TDs. More importantly, he's the same player for Hobart as he was for Calumet Tech. Caldwell is incredibly talented and continues to be overlooked for no reason. His ball skills are fantastic and his route running is good now but could be top-notch when he gets a coach to hammer the tiny details. The dude can play, the dude can fly, and I'll pound the table for him until he signs.

[player_tooltip player_id='196640' first='Wyatt' last='Mullin'] - South Putnam - QB - 5'10" 180lbs - 2025

Mullins has been quite the pleasant surprise for South Putnam has given that team so much life this year. He's not making any mistakes to give the ball away and is moving the offense up and down the field. He's a drastically underrated athlete and makes a lot of guys look silly on the field. His speed and agility are actually quite incredible. Add in the fact that he's got a really good arm, and you've got a good player. Mullin had one throw in a game this year where he dropped the ball into a bucket from 50 yards out for 6. He's also playing defense and already has 5 interceptions on the year. Through 3 games on offense though, he's got 600 passing yards and 243 rushing yards with 9 total TDs and 0 turnovers. In fact, he's +5 in the turnover margin alone with those interceptions. Mullins is off to an elite start to the year and if he keeps it up could easily skyrocket up boards everywhere.

[player_tooltip player_id='983646' first='Mitch' last='Bernardi'] - Floyd Central - RB - 6'0" 210lbs - 2024

Bernardi has been incredible to this point in the year and has broken out in more than 1 way. In years past, he's shown flash but never truly broke out. It's pretty clear that changed this summer and Bernardi has been 1 of the best RBs in the state through 3 weeks. He went nuclear against Silver Creek this week and has put himself on the map. Friday night alone he put up 172 rushing yards and 2 TDs and then added 108 receiving yards and 2 TDs through the air. It's not just the numbers he's put up, but how he's looked doing it. He's confident, makes the right reads, and is pretty explosive. He's a physical back who can bounce off tackles but has much more speed than defenses anticipate at first. Bernardi isn't going to be slowing down anytime soon, so get comfortable with the name.

[player_tooltip player_id='983647' first='Jaron' last='Thomas'] - Concord - RB/LB - 6'1" 195lbs - 2025

Thomas has been fantastic to start the season, to say the least. A bigger back with the size and speed to make big plays at a high level. He's usually the fastest player on the field and can get creative with the ball in his hands, which is 1 reason he's so good in the return game. 1 return this year he cut the ball back across the field, turned the corner, and hit the jets. Almost Tavon Austin level type of return there, but it showed his athletic ability and potential. He's able to make any cut and has the agility to make a man miss in the hole. Through 3 games he's already got 426 rushing yards and 4 TDs on the ground. He then plays LB and has 24 tackles on the year and 3 TFLs. However, I think Thomas's highest upside is on offense with the ball in his hand. Either way, I think he's athletic enough to succeed anywhere he goes.

[player_tooltip player_id='552411' first='Matthew' last='McKitrick'] - Western - ATH - 5'11" 180lbs - 2026

McKitrick has 2 games under his belt, and I think he's done more than enough to put the schools going against him on notice. He's been fantastic for them on both sides of the ball, but especially on offense and what he's doing with the ball in his hands. He's incredibly quick and makes cuts just as quick. He'd be great in a zone running scheme as he likes to continue accelerating through holes and cuts. For a sophomore, he's got a solid frame and makes defenders bounce off. His 2 games carrying the rock he's put up 368 yards and 3 TDs. He's then added 3 catches and a TD reception of 42 yards. McKitrick just does a good job finding the open spaces and exploiting the defense with his ability to change direction with ease. It's the same athletic ability that's allowed him to be in on 32 tackles defensively in those 2 games, but circling back, he's just best on offense in my opinion. I'm a big fan of him because he's young and breaking out right as he should be.
