Here is a look at a few of them rising.
Daeden Hopkins

Daeden showed he was first a big-time college caliber prospect at the Elite Football Combine back in March when competing as a defensive end, and showing his length, speed, explosiveness and quick twitch athleticism. I already knew he was a multi-sport athlete, but was unaware of his ability to catch the ball or run routes. He has shown all his athletic ability he has on the defensive side of the ball on the offensive side early in the season catching 26 passes for 417 yards and 7 touchdowns through 5 games. This has opened the eyes of schools not just as a defensive end but also as a potential TE that some schools are now recruiting him as. He landed his first D1 offer from Iowa State a few weeks ago.
Brock Camp

Despite being a standout in basketball already, Brock showed his D1 potential as a college TE last offseason in camp with the Kewpies. At his size he was running routes and showed the speed of a receiver, with tremendous pass catching ability, including some remarkable one-handed grabs in full stride that not many high school wide receivers can make much less tight ends. You could tell his work playing in the low post in basketball helped with his body placement and receiving ability. He is equally effective lined up as an attached tight end, in the slot or out wide. So far he has 17 catches for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns. Schools such as Missouri, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Kentucky are recruiting him.
Gabriel Cunningham

Yet another very athletic prospect who has tight end size and wide receiver pass catching type skills is Cunningham. He also stood out at the Elite combine earlier this year showing similar athletic ability to Hopkins but competed at the tight end position. On top of having great hands and route running ability, Gabe is also a very good blocker and versatile in his ability to play anywhere in the pass or run offense. In his first five games he has caught 15 passes for 293 yards and 6 touchdowns while averaging 19.3 yards per catch.
Kason Murray 6’4″ 215 Carthage
The talented Murray is having a breakout season the way his head coach predicted and looks like one of the top players in the Southwest part of the state for 2023 if he continues on his current trajectory. Kason is another very good blocker who has very good athleticism and runs good routes, while displaying good and reliable hands in the pass game. He has hauled in 248 yards and 4 touchdowns on 11 receptions in an offense that features the run.
Kyle Cotton

The physical blocker with soft hands who has receiver type talents has been a reliable receiver since he was a freshman and has grown into tight end size. Kyle is a great option on 3rd down or in the red zone, but can run well and be a threat downfield. He is the Warriors leading receiver with 17 catches for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.
Marshall Kitchen 6’4″ 210 Westran
Kitchen is off to a great 2023 season catching the ball with 20 receptions for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Drew Clemens

The converted QB has made the switch to tight end very well and not only has helped block for one of the top running backs in the state but has also made himself a nice receiving option. Clemens has caught 7 passes for 182 yards and 4 touchdowns in 5 games.
