Weaver was a Class AA All-State Honorable Mention performer in 2022 as a junior and should be one of the state's top offensive lineman this season. The 6'4 290 Weaver is the right tackle for the Big Blacks and pairs very nicely next to our #1 ranked tight end [player_tooltip player_id='370365' first='Josh' last='Chapman'] on the right side of the Point Pleasant line. Weaver is a mauler and a very strong athlete that can push people around consistently. His pass blocking abilities are a little bit of an unknown right now due to their offensive scheme but Weaver is dominant in run blocking. He also starts on the defensive line and from watching him on that side of the ball Weaver moves well and quick off the ball. Weaver should be one of the most sought-after offensive linemen in the 2024 class this season.rnrnu003cstrongu003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/11738455/Kolton-Weaveru0022u003eHudlu003c/au003e | u003ca href=u0022https://twitter.com/KoltonWeaver5u0022u003eTwitteru003c/au003eu003c/strongu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["370365"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":937210,"_player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Point Pleasant has our #1 ranked tight end in the 2024 class with [player_tooltip player_id='370365' first='Josh' last='Chapman'] and the 6'6 big man should solidify that ranking this season. Chapman is more of a blocking tight end that could likely eventually grow into an offensive tackle. He's a devastating blocker and at 6'6 240 he's just too much to handle for most Class AA defensive linemen and linebackers. Chapman pancakes opposing players like an offensive lineman and if he were 30 pounds heavier he would likely get some D1 looks at that position. He's one of the best blocking tight ends that I have seen and a key piece to their heavy-run attack. Chapman ranks as the #34 overall player in WV for his class and could easily increase that spot this season.rnrnu003cstrongu003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/13512060/Josh-Chapmanu0022u003eHudlu003c/au003e | u003ca href=u0022https://twitter.com/lilest_chapu0022u003eTwitteru003c/au003eu003c/strongu003e","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["893392"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_player_featured_image":937213,"_player_evaluations_2_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='893392' first='Jason' last='Hughes'] is a versatile 2024 athlete that can help you in many different ways. Hughes saw starting quarterback time as a junior but can also play receiver and is a starting defensive back on defense. He had one of the best plays of the season in WV for the first clip of his highlight video with an acrobatic one-handed interception and impressive return for a touchdown. Hughes can even help you in the return game and is an all-around good athlete. You can even hand the ball off to him and Hughes just wants to help his team in anyway way that he can. I like him the most as a defensive back where he was a ballhawk as a junior. Hughes will likely enter our rankings in the next update and a name to watch for this season.rnrnu003cstrongu003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/13512051/Jason-Hughesu0022u003eHudlu003c/au003e | u003ca href=u0022https://twitter.com/JasonHugheu0022u003eTwitteru003c/au003eu003c/strongu003e","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["937214"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_player_featured_image":937215,"_player_evaluations_3_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='937214' first='Andrew' last='Schoon'] is a quality football player and wrestler for the Big Blacks and racked up over 75 tackles last season as a junior. The 5'8 155 rising senior is a hard-hitting safety in the Point Pleasant secondary that also had several interceptions in 2022. Schoon is a rangy safety that can cover a lot of ground but is also willing to be physical and a good tackler. He may not be the biggest athlete but Schoon doesn't shy away from contact and welcomes it. Another aspect of his game that I was impressed with was his return capability and he had several long returns last season. Schoon showed versatility as a deep safety and can also move into the box. Schoon was a Class AA All-State Honorable Mention selection in 2022. He's a name we are going to watch for this season to potentially enter our 2024 rankings in the next update.rnrnu003cstrongu003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/13512293/Andrew-Schoonu0022u003eHudlu003c/au003e | u003ca href=u0022https://twitter.com/SchoonAndrewu0022u003eTwitteru003c/au003eu003c/strongu003e","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["909091"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":937216,"_player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='909091' first='Alex' last='Shrader'] is one of the state's premier specialists in the 2025 class and earned Class AA Second Team All-State as a sophomore in 2022. He handled all kicking and punting duties for Point Pleasant last season and is talented at both. Shrader has a big leg that can hit from beyond 50 yards on fields and punts while also having the strength to get the ball in the end zone on kickoffs. With continued development, Shrader may get some D1 looks in the next two years. He was a name we came across when searching for 2026 athletes for our rankings debut and Bowen quickly impressed. He saw a lot of varsity action as a freshman and will be one of Point Pleasant's premier players for the next three years. Bowen is listed as 5'8 175 but plays much bigger than he is and is a hard runner. Bowen is a one-cut-and-go running back right now that is tough to bring down on first contact. He showed good balance as a young player and was a handful for opposing teams. Bowen showed to be a well-rounded running back for only a freshman and showed signs in every aspect of the position.
