Chris Williams Chris Williams 5’8″ | 155 lbs | WR Buffalo | 2024 State WV had a stellar junior season for the Buffalo Bison at receiver and put up some impressive statistics. Williams hauled in 26 catches for an astounding 628 yards and 6 touchdowns averaging 24 yards per catch. He has picked up two offers from D3 Otterbein (OH) and the unfortunately now-defunct Alderson Broaddus Sprint team this summer. The 5’8 155 speedy slot receiver can stretch the field with his speed or do damage in the screen game. Williams can outrun most Class A defensive backs and get behind them and separate consistently. He has a quick release and can make plays after the catch to turn small gains into big plays. Williams also has good route-running ability that pairs nicely with his quickness to seemingly always be open. Buffalo lost talented QB Josh Moody Josh Moody 6’2″ | 195 lbs | QB Nitro | 2025 State WV to transfer so it will be interesting to see if Buffalo can get Williams the ball as much as they did a season ago or have to get more creative with how they get him touches.
Highlights
Cade Allman Cade Allman 6’1″ | 310 lbs | OL Buffalo | 2024 State WV will be Buffalo’s biggest lineman this season among a talented crop of big boys. The 6’0 290 rising senior should anchor the Bison line again for his final season and lead that group. Allman is a strong athlete that is stout in run blocking but was able to get good film of pass blocking in the Buffalo spread offense last season. He also sees time at nose guard and could play there as well at the next level. Allman manned the left guard spot for the Bison and showed the ability to pull and move in space to block. He’s a stout player that is tough to get past at the small school level. Allman is one of many Bison linemen that we are watching for to join our rankings in future updates.
Buffalo’s Trenton Luikart Trenton Luikart 6’1″ | 245 lbs | DL Buffalo | 2024 State WV had a very nice junior season on the defensive line for the Buffalo Bison. The 6’1 245 rising senior posted 40 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries for the Bison last season. Luikart also sees time on the offensive line but I like him more along the defensive line. He has good patience at times and reads plays well but also gets penetration consistently. You can see why he compiled so many TFLs last season and should cause even more havoc after another off-season in the weight room. Luikart hustles well and always runs to the ball and shows consistent effort. He’ll be another Bison that could enter our rankings in the coming updates.
Highlights
Dylan Johnson Dylan Johnson 6’0″ | 240 lbs | DL Buffalo | 2025 WV was a two-way starting lineman for the Buffalo Bison as a sophomore last season and performed well on both sides of the line. Johnson made our 2025 Watch List as a defensive lineman but he could eventually get big enough to be an offensive lineman at the next level too. I really like his motor and he’s always running to the ball. Johnson showed good patience in setting the edge and keeping contain against option offenses. He’s quick enough that he can make tackles down the field and also get to the second level of the defense to block linebackers on offense. Johnson is a 2025 name to watch for the next two years and a possible name to enter our 2025 rankings in future updates.
Davey Sayne Davey Sayne 5’10” | 235 lbs | OL Buffalo | 2026 WV had the accomplishment of being his team’s starting center as a freshman last season and is in rare company. You rarely see a freshman be able to step into a starting role on the offensive line and even rarer at center but Sayne was able to take over the position in his first year of high school. He has pretty good size for a young lineman at 5’10 230 and as he continues to get bigger and stronger he’ll anchor the Bison line even better. We added Sayne to our 2026 rankings Watch List and a name we’ll monitor for the next three years. The early signs are there for Sayne to develop into a very quality lineman for Buffalo in time.
