These 10 quarterbacks kicked off their 2023 season with remarkable performances. Each of them made spectacular plays and helped their teams start the season 1-0.

[player_tooltip player_id='406954' first='Isaac' last='Wilson'] || QB || 6'0 || 165 || Corner Canyon High School || 2024

Wilson is our top-ranked quarterback and left no doubt why with an exceptional week one performance. He threw for over 460 yards, had five total touchdowns, and led the Chargers to a dominant 55-7 week one win over Granger. Wilson displayed his elite arm strength, pocket awareness, mobility, decision-making, and so many more skills in his impressive week one performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='532703' first='Jake' last='Hopkins'] || QB || 6'1 || 165 || Syracuse High School || 2024

The Titans throttled Riverton 38-0 off a fantastic season-opening performance from Hopkins. The Syracuse signal caller threw for over 340 yards and four touchdowns in a sensational showing to begin his senior season. Hopkins ball placement was on point, and he did a great job of distributing it to his playmakers. He got the ball out quickly and rifled in multiple tight window throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='698401' first='Matt' last='McKea'] || QB || 6'3 || 200 || Alta High School || 2025

McKea, our top-ranked quarterback in the class of 2025, picked up right where he left off last season. He helped the Hawks offense take flight vs. Layton in their 42-14 victory. McKea did a great job escaping the pocket when under dress and bought his recovers time to get open. His accuracy on the move is exceptional, as is his arm strength.

Chase Moseley || QB || 6'2 || 175 || Olympus High School || 2024

Mosley and the Olympus offense were in midseason form against Spanish Fork. The Titans quarterback threw for over 345 yards and three touchdowns. Molsey was fearless with pressure in his face and did a great job finding his receivers even when he was about to get blasted. He did a good job hitting his playmakers in stride to maximize their yards after the catch.

Jackson Blake || QB || 6'3 || 180 || Lone Peak High School || 2024

All eyes were on Blake in the first game of the high school football season in Utah, and the senior quarterback showed out. Jackson led the Knights up and down their newly renovated field in a 27-7 win against Bingham. Blake showed elite touch on downfield throws and did a great job finding his open teammates.

Porter Olsen || QB || 5'11 || 170 || Northridge High School || 2024

Olsen orchestrated an outstanding performance by the Northridge offense in their 43-0 win over Murray. The Knights quarterback threw for over 355 yards scoring four total touchdowns. Olsen did a great job going through his progressions and showed off his powerful arm.

Frederick Ta'ai || QB || 5'10 || 200 || Herriman High School || 2024

Ta'ai led the Mustangs to a tough 35-23 win against Bountiful. He diced up the Red Hawks defense for over 285 yards and five touchdowns. Ta'ai threw for three scores in the third quarter alone, with each one over 45 yards. The Mustangs signal caller also led Herriman in rushing yards in a truly remarkable performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='406982' first='Jack' last='Johnson'] || QB || 6'0 || 195 || Brighton High School || 2024

Johnson and the Bengals avenged last season's week one loss to Desert Hills by besting the Thunder 34-14. Brighton's quarterback threw four touchdown passes in a fanatic season-opening performance on the road. Johnson's accuracy on the move and potent arm were on full display. He did a great job finding and exploiting every advantage his team had downfield.

Jackson Roybal || QB || 6'0 || 195 || West Jordan High School || 2024

Royball took the reigns of the Jaguars offense and helped them narrowly edge out Woods Cross 27-26 in their first game in 5A. The senior quarterback threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead pass with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. Royball dismantled the Wildcat's defenses with elite throws at all three levels of the field.

Dylan Story || QB || 5'11 || 175 || American Fork High School || 2024

Story excelled in his first start with the Cavemen in 2023. He threw for over 195 yards and three touchdowns in American Forks 42-14 victory over Roy. Story showed off his downfield accuracy with multiple throws over 20 yards outside the numbers. He showed strong pocket awareness and great command of the Cavemen offense.

These 10 quarterbacks kicked off their 2023 season with remarkable performances. Each of them made spectacular plays and helped their teams start the season 1-0.
