Continue ReadingI don’t put much stock in camp film, however, Helton did earn an offer from Penn State last weekend. And from what I can gather from the minimal camp highlights, he showed great body and exceptional concentration to catch through traffic.
He didn’t create a ton of separation with his route running, but his hands were impressive and his ability to track the ball deep was also impressive.
Helton will be playing at recent New Jersey powerhouse Winslow. Who have a track record of developing good receivers, Helton will be on my list of players to watch closely this season.

In relation to top 2024 New Jersey prospect Jaylen McClain Jaylen McClain 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Seton Hall | 2024 State NJ who committed to Ohio State, has been gaining buzz gradually and has also gained offers from Penn State, Syracuse, Rutgers, Boston College, and West Virginia.
He is 6’0 160 pounds with a tall and long frame. He’s shifty with that ball in his hands and has solid agility on both sides of the ball.
He excels at safety where he can roam on the defense and make plays. And He’s not afraid to stick his nose and be a difference-maker in run defense. What stands out about his game was his ability to cover on the outside and the slot.
Keeping in mind we’re talking about a player who’s playing freshman-level competition, however seeing a young player on defense have consistent reps on pertinent skills always has me excited.

Kain is a multifaceted player who can contribute in multiple ways. First off he’s a solid running back. At 5’11 160 pounds he’s a physical runner who can force a ton of missed tackles, but can also be elusive and has solid speed in the open field.
In addition, he’s an above-average pass catcher. Catches out of the backfield on screens, and also catches well when asked to run routes down the field.
Kain has been dominating the JV level. Now he will get a chance to carry the load on Varsity and showcase his talents on one of the best high school teams in the country.
Highlights
Jake Namnun Jake Namnun 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Delran | 2026 State NJ is a lineman who is gradually getting better. He’s 6’2 260 pounds and has great balance. He has a thick frame and hasn’t fully developed. yet. It’s evident when he blocks on the move he’s inconsistent which impact on his blocks. Want to see him play lower and learn how to generate leverage and power from his lower half.
As a run blocker shows great knowledge of his assignments. Able to move quickly through his read and peel up to the second level, to latch on to second-level defenders.
In addition, is a great anchor when pass blocking shows the ability to drop hips and withstand a bull rush without compromising the depth of the pocket.
Namnun is still developing and has a long way to go. This should be a breakout season for him. He currently holds one offer from Boston College.
Powell is a player that has flashed athletic ability on both sides of the ball. At 5’10 155 pounds currently, Powell is ready to put NJ on notice of his talent.
He doesn’t have much film right now, but having the pleasure to watch him play live he has a nose for the football and seems to be in the right place at the right time.
Powell will be going to the NJ high school version of WR U, Winslow. Powell has the athletic ability and work ethic to cultivate into a solid wide receiver.
