Elijah Rushing Elijah Rushing 6’6″ | 255 lbs | DL Salpointe Catholic | 2024 State AZ made waves as the first five-star to commit to the University of Arizona. Rushing lives up to the bill on his film with an inside swim that helps him beat defenders quickly. He is a powerful young man who uses a hump move to left defenders off the ground and get to the quarterback. His bend displays his athleticism while having the speed to run down quarterbacks. Rushing is a star in the making.

Demond Williams Demond Williams 5’11” | 180 lbs | QB Basha | 2024 State AZ is one of the most electrifying players in the nation. He recently flipped to Arizona on July 31st. He is designed as a modern quarterback who can make plays with his legs and beat you with his arm. Williams Jr.’s arm talent is top-notch, able to throw with velocity to all three levels. He has good mechanics with his feet pointing to his target. He is dangerous in the open field when he breaks the pocket with his elusiveness. His run vs. the Chandler Wolves last season demonstrated his ability to create explosive plays.
Brandon Phelps Brandon Phelps 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR American Leadership Academy – Gilbert North | 2024 State AZ is a matchup problem for any cornerback he faces. A contested catch and 50/50 ball specialist Phelps’s athleticism shines when the ball is in the air. He has excellent hands and knows exactly when to high-point the football with a good vertical leap. A technical runner Phelps uses his athleticism to quickly get in and out of breaks. Double moves are his specialty selling the original route to create separation deep. He can create short receptions into big plays when the ball is in his hands. His shiftiness as a route runner shows up in the open field, making him a home run hitter.
Keona Wilhite Keona Wilhite 6’5″ | 235 lbs | DL Salpointe Catholic | 2024 State AZ joins his fellow edge rusher from Tucson Salpointe to the Wildcats. Wilhite displays the versatility to play inside and outside on the defensive line. His power shines when he is rushing the passer using a bull rush to win against offensive lineman. It helps him out vs the run as well using his play strength to set the edge or work against guards inside. Wilhite is good athlete who displays enough bend to get produce pressure at the next level. He with rushing can help shape the future of the Arizona defensive line.

The university of Arizona has been busy at Apollo High School. One of the players who made a committment was offensive tackle Matthew Lado Matthew Lado 6’6″ | 260 lbs | OL Apollo | 2024 State AZ . Lado is good combination of size and athletcism at the position. He is powerful offensive lineman using his play strength to pancake defenders in space. In pass protection Lado has excellent feet allowing him to move quickly into his quick step. His long arms help him in pass protection with a quick punch and exhbitis knowledge of multiple sets during passing situations. Lado is a big get for Jedd Fisch and should shine at the next level.
