I was very excited by what I saw, but I wanted to see what he could do with the pads on. After two weeks of his sophomore season, he has backed it up and more. He’s thrown for 671 and 5 touchdowns. He’s added another 100 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. He even has a 47-yard reception for a touchdown. DeVito is and explosive and dynamic runner who is good at making guys miss. As a thrower, he has a live and can throw it to all levels. It looks like Brayden is on the verge of a big season and should start to burst onto the college recruiting scene soon.
2025 QB Justice Burnam Justice Burnam 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Anderson | 2025 State OH (Anderson) 6’0 175- Anderson is well known for their passing attack. With 2-year starter Griffin Scalf now graduated it left some big shoes to fill. After 2 weeks Burnam has shown, he is more than capable of handling the task. He’s a pretty incredible 44 of 52 for 647 yards and 9 touchdowns on the season. That’s an 84.6% completion percentage. He’s also taken care of the ball having thrown no interceptions. Justice has a great skillset and feel for running the Raptors offense. He’s an accurate passer that gets the ball out quickly. Burnam doesn’t just affect the game as a thrower he can run the ball as well, he’s rushed for 119 yards on the season averaging 6 yard per carry. He has the athleticism and the quick decision making to execute the zone read run game. As Justice continues to get experience his confidence and numbers should only grow and the college coaches should start to take notice.
2025 QB Jeremiah Landers Jeremiah Landers 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Middletown | 2025 State OH (Middletown) 6’3 190- Jeremiah is an exciting runner in the open field and a terror to try and tackle. In the passing game when the play breaks down, he does a good job of improvising and extending plays. He has three touchdowns through the air and three on the ground. Landers is in his first year as a starting varsity quarterback and is still learning and adjusting to the quarterback position. As most young quarterbacks do, Jeremiah, has some throws that he would definitely like to have back. The arm talent however is there. He has a quick and smooth delivery. He looks comfortable in the pocket and does a good job of feeling pressure and climbing the pocket or escaping to the perimeter. As he gains experience, Jeremiah will start to see things faster and his talent will take over.
2027 WR Eddie Holloway Eddie Holloway 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Taft | 2027 State OH (Taft) 5’11 160- In week 2 Holloway caught 3 balls for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not bad for a freshman in his second varsity game! Holloway is explosive off of the line of scrimmage. He’s not afraid to catch the ball in traffic. When he gets the ball into the open field, he has the speed and elusiveness to turn a normal play into a chunk play. As Eddie continues to develop as a route runner, he’s going to be a dynamic receiver who can hurt defenses in many different ways. The more film he puts out showing his speed and play making ability it’s only time until he starts getting recruiting attention.
2025 DE Khy’Lek Jarrett Khy’Lek Jarrett 6'3" | 210 lbs | DL Princeton | 2025 State OH (Princeton) 6’3 195- In just two short weeks of the 2023 season Jarret has 2 1/2 sacks and 7 1/2 tackles for loss. He fits right in with the Vikings attacking defense. Jarrett is explosive off the snap. He has a strong swipe move that he uses to win the edge. He’s not just a pass rusher though, he’s able to stand up linemen and set the edge in the run game. Whether it be rushing or in pursuit, Khy’Lek plays a 100mph to the whistle. He’s not just playing fast, he’s playing under control. I can’t wait to see what film he’s able to put out the rest of the season. As he continues to grow and develop physically and add more of a power element to his game. I think he has the traits that could lead to D1 interest.
