Gabriel Groppi
Gabriel Groppi
Groppi is someone who has been on my radar for about a year now, but doesn’t really seem to get the shine he really deserves. He was on pace to own the recordbooks as a Junior until an injury sidelined him for 4 weeks. Even with the 4 game pause, he was able to eclipse the 1200 yard mark. Heading into his 3rd year of varsity ball, he will be a captain, and will be a legitimate threat for All- State. He runs insanely hard, has a great burst of speed when he gets loose, and never goes down on first contact. He will always fight forward for extra yardage. I love his game, and think colleges need to be giving him a shot in their program!
Logan is a guy we have ranked here on PRZ, but I feel like there is still not as much buzz around this guy as there should be. He’s a mauler of a lineman, who dominates the trenches. He keeps a good base, doesn’t lunge at defenders, and can flat our move people. GL had a very good season last year, and a lot of it should be credited to Allen and his ability to create running lanes by himself. I hope this is the year that his recruiting and notoriety really takes off for him, as I think he could really turn heads.
Highlights
Logan Zielinski
Logan Zielinski
I really enjoyed sitting down and going through his film. He currently plays at 5’11 195, and I love the way he is a dual threat guy. He’s super solid in the passing game, always getting open and giving the QB a safety net, while also being a willing and aggressive run blocker. Defensively, he is a block shedder with a nose for the ball. He makes really quick reads and stays home and makes the play when it comes to him. I really love the way he wraps up, there really are no broken tackles when he gets his mitts on a ballcarrier. I am high on Parkway Christian this year, and Logan is a really big piece as to why I think they could be very successful this year.
Jordan Jablonski
Jordan Jablonski
Jordan is a really underrated back. He runs incredibly hard, and finishes every run through contact. He is a bit on the shorter, stockier side at about 5’8 but about 185 lbs. I love the way he runs though, as he is a punishing, physical back. He definitely has some room to improve on breakaway speed, and I would like to see him work on a couple moves to make defenders miss, just for the simple fact that he is taking multiple hits every rush attempt. I can’t wait to see his numbers as a senior, I think they could really catch some folks attention.
Evan Peruski
Evan Peruski
Definitely not your everyday quarterback. Ubly is extremely run heavy, in fact Evan only had a little over 300 yards passing. On the ground though, he wound up with 65 attempts, and 1158 yards. He is so elusive, and has pretty good quickness. He just makes guys miss, every play displays him sidestepping a defender, changing directions on them or just flat out juking kids out of their shoes. Defensively, he plays the ball in the air well, and keeps good position. His acrobatic catches and circus interceptions are so much fun to watch on film. If you’re in The Thumb of Michigan looking for something to do on a Friday night, go watch this kid put on a show for Ubly. He’s a really special player, especially in Division 8!
