Introducing the Division 1 All-State Preseason Defense! These are all players who I fully expect to perform at an all-state level this season.

All-State Offense

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='253200' first='Kalieb' last='Osborne'] - Waterford Mott - Senior

Mott is going to have one of the most high-powered offenses once again, largely thanks to Kalieb. He's a dual threat with a huge arm, and Toledo has a good one coming.

QB/ATH - M'Khi Guy - Muskegon - Junior

Guy had an excellent 2022 season alongside a great offseason. He's a pure athlete that trends toward being a DB in college. Behind what is likely the best O-Line in the state, Guy will run wild and pass the ball when he needs to.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='667472' first='Brock' last='Townsend'] - Caledonia - Senior

An easy choice. Brock is one of the best all-around players in the entire state and could also play like an all-state safety. Last season, he averaged 6.9 yards per carry while racking up nearly 1500 AP yards.

RB - Jakob Price - Muskegon - Senior

I can't stress enough how great Muskegon's backfield is going to be. Jake, like Guy, is a uber-athletic player who is a common home-run hitter. Seeing Jake a few times this offseason, I am confident he'll perform at an all-state level.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='250802' first='Amarion' last='Jenkins'] - Flushing - Senior

The third all-state RB for D2 was a tough choice, but I have to go with Amarion. I love his film from last year and see a ton of potential.

WR - Braylon Islom - Saginaw Heritage - Senior

Braylon is a great deep threat that will embarrass defenses again this season. He quietly had one of the best seasons of any WR last year!

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='249497' first='CJ' last='Hibbler'] - Petoskey - Senior

[player_tooltip player_id='249497' first='CJ' last='Hibbler'] returns from injury in what is a highly anticipated senior season. He seems to be on the path to be a true D1 player, and it's exciting to see someone from Petoskey break out.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='862129' first='Jadyn' last='Walker'] - Portage Northern - Senior

Jadyn is another one of those guys who broke out this offseason. At the Wayne State Mega Camp, he racked up a ton of amazing plays that earned him a few Division 1 offers. With Portage Northern's 2023 class, Jadyn steps in as their top weapon.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='563422' first='Damion' last='King'] - De La Salle - Sophomore

A ton of praise has been given out to [player_tooltip player_id='563422' first='Damion' last='King'] this offseason. He's one of the most electric underclassmen in Michigan and is looking to meet the high expectations set for him this season. I predict he'll meet those expectations and more!

TE - [player_tooltip player_id='654128' first='Caden' last='Campbell'] - De La Salle - Senior

I wasn't too sure about Caden until I saw him at GV's prospect camp. He performed super well and moved way better than expected. He could play a pretty big role in the De La Salle offense, and he may just be the best TE in DII!

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='568194' first='Gregory' last='Patrick'] - Portage Northern - Sophomore

A guy who's consistently grown and proved himself. [player_tooltip player_id='568194' first='Gregory' last='Patrick'] has earned offers from schools like Oklahoma and Michigan State, with more to come in the next year. A no-doubter for this list.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='80952' first='Ryan' last='Ross'] - De La Salle - Senior

Ryan has always been a super steady worker and has earned some recognition this offseason. Playing for the two-time defending champs, he'll have a spotlight on him and he'll perform very well.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='899493' first='Avery' last='Gach'] - Groves - Junior

The best offensive lineman in Michigan right now. Incredible size, skillset, stats. A phenomenal talent that will be able to choose just about any college to play football at.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='602233' first='N-Kye' last='Wynn'] - Muskegon - Junior

A super intriguing up-and-comer who has real Power 5 Potential. A lot of great moments last season, and I've loved what I've seen in him this offseason. He's currently the highest-ceiling offensive lineman on Muskegon!

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='253307' first='Miguel' last='Botello'] - Muskegon - Senior

Miguel was my top lineman for Muskegon last season. I expect him to be at least on-par this season.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='253306' first='Karl' last='Brooks'] - Muskegon - Senior

Karl was a great lineman last season, but he had a few flaws. This offseason, I've loved what I've seen of Karl. He's got some OL nastiness and a great will to improve.
