Excited to see what Collins could do this fall for Princeton. He has a quality side, but his speed is what is really impressive. His HUDL says 4.53, but this offseason, he recorded at a West Virginia camp a 40-yard dash under 4.30. Even if it’s not accurate, it’s hard to imagine it’s off by too much. That being said, he simply has elite speed.
He’s a quality route runner, but I’d like to see his route runner abilities take a step up this fall as well. He has considerable upside to his game but needs to put it all together on the field. He was very productive for Princeton last year and is one of the best big-play threats in the state.
Since I started here at Prep Redzone West Virginia, Vanmatre has become one of my favorite players in the state to watch on tape. I’m excited to see what he can bring to the table this fall. This is what I said about him earlier this offseason. rn”A triple-option quarterback, Vanmatre’s future is likely as a running back or in a similar system at the next level. The 6-foot-3 tailback is an intimidating runner with quality speed that is supplemented by good vision. As a triple-option quarterback, Vanmatre needs to have the excellent ability to read the defense, find the open or best hole, and get to it quickly. He has a nice burst to his game and has good enough speed to get to the next level. He’s physical and can break tacklers as well, racking up quite a bit of yards after contact. Has upside as a triple-option quarterback as well but if you don’t run a triple-option offense, he might just be the perfect fit for your offense at running back.”
He is an intriguing tight-end prospect who already weighs in the 270s, so if he continues to add weight, a move to the offensive line might be needed. Als could be a defensive lineman at the next level as well. Good length and quality athleticism.
Norman has elite size, and with that, he also shows quality athleticism at his size as well. He has quality footwork and uses his length well. There will always be some worries about being “too big,” but for now, I don’t have any of those with Norman. Patience will be required in his development but the end results could be extraordinary.
Really strong size on the defensive line, already nearing 250 pounds overall. Strong motor with good pursuit skills and great hand-fighting skills. Had a nice performance at the West Liberty TNL camp this summer where he was dominant as well.
Highlights
Smaller wide receiver at 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds with good athleticism and speed, a reported 40-yard dash of 4.59. Impressive tape and production history for Morgantown, performed well on the camp circuit as well this offseason. Could be in for a big fall.
Highlights
I haven’t been able to watch much of Anthony Ice Anthony Ice 5’9″ | 170 lbs | WR Parkersburg | 2024 State WV but his smaller stature combined with a reported 40-time around 4.4 has me interested piqued heading into this fall. Really excited to see what he brings to the field of play and how his development has continued into his senior season.
Brown has great size at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds. Moves decently well for his size and has quality footwork. Sets a nice edge for Independence, though it’s hard to judge him accurately since he does have a sizeable size advantage against almost every opposing defensive lineman he would face Has some considerable upside and potential.
