Continue ReadingWilliams hit the ground at full speed and really turn3d some heads during his high school debut season. He already has great size at 5’10 200lbs and put some skills on display on both sides of the ball. Offensively at running back he’s a threat out of the back field and runs with some purpose. Williams muscles his way through arm tackles and fights for extra yards. Defensively from his strong safety position he is a hard hitter who can close on the run and screen game quick. His size and power allow him to fight off blocks and put himself in position to make plays. Williams had a few offers roll in this off-season, most recently USF and Toledo.
Henry is among the loaded DB group at SFA and looks to be next up as a leading DB recruit in his class. He has decent size and plays fast; he flies around in pursuit and keeps his eye on causing a fumble with a stip. He’s not timid at all coming downhill from his safety position and has the ability to defend the pass in man to man. He already has 6 offers, most recently landed the LSU offer. Look for Henry to contribute more this season with this young DB core.
Philpott played part in the dominant Spalding defense last season, making his presence felt at defensive tackle. He shows impressive strength as he holds his ground in the trenches and pursues the ball with a bit more speed than you expect from a nose guard. The youngster shows some glimpses of what to expect in the future already playing among varsity competition.
Smith has great size already at 6’4 310lbs, he used his size to show glimpses of dominance on DeMatha’s JV. Against Gonzaga he put a few pancakes on film and demonstrated his ability to overpower defenders off the ball.

Golston is a big athletic LB prospect. In the McDonough game he made some nice plays in pass coverage and pursued the ball well outside the tackles. He’s a sure tackler and fills gaps well in the run game. Scouts are drooling over this prospect already, with offers from Georgia, Miami, and home team Maryland already.
