Two OT prospects- Joseph Hunt Joseph Hunt 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Steele Canyon | 2024 State CA (Steele Canyon) and Santiago Macias (Chula Vista)- each picked up their first offers in recent months.
Brown’s a returning senior with two years’ of starting experience for the back-to-back state champion Crusaders. He’s a reliable IOL that can fend off interior blitzes and eliminate edge defenders as a pulling OG. He has a solid frame for the position (6’3”/285) and shows good movement picking up blocks in space. Brown offers an underrated combination of pass-pro skill and physicality in the running game and is one of the top unoffered OL prospects in San Diego.
Santiago Macias
Santiago Macias
Macias is a mauler-type LT at 6’5”/315. He’s a bully in the run game with overpowering size and strength at times. His technique looked a bit raw last season, but if he’s able to improve his OL skillset to match his level of natural physicality he’ll be a major stock-riser in San Diego this fall. Macias picked up his first offers from NAIA programs Culver-Stockton and Benedictine over the past two months.
Davion Haley
Davion Haley
Haley plays his RT position with technique, athleticism, and skill. He’s a nimble mover with great footwork and fluidity as a puller and when working up to the second level. He shows consistent leverage and hand placement at the POA with ability to move bigger defenders around at the LOS. Haley’s on the smaller side for typical OL prospects but his technique and feel for the position are worth keeping an eye on.
Jeremiah Savaiinaea
Jeremiah Savaiinaea
Savaiinaea’s a physical force on both sides of the ball for Helix at OG/DL. He moves urgently around the LOS with twitchy explosion and compact power. He’s a smart IOL that can come off doubles and locate free defenders at the second level and pick up interior pressure in pass pro. He’s violent with his hands on both sides of the ball and can use them effectively to win scrappy 1v1 situations in the trenches. Savaiinaea should pick up some late interest with a strong senior season.
Hunt’s an underrated OL prospect with raw size (6’3”/300) and upside. He’s a big, physical presence at LT that’s quick on his feet and can move edge defenders around in the run game. He’s a smothering blocker in pass pro with active hands and solid anchor. Hunt just picked up his first offer from Columbia in May and has drawn interest from other Ivy League programs.
