Utley has been a known name around these parts for two years now as an elite level prospect with national status and just about every Power Five program in pursuit. The Tigers junior D-lineman has tons of traits about himself that translates well to the next level as well as his versatility to play multiple roles within the trenches. Utley is an active guy who competes hard, so his motor is always on high but he is also a good athlete that can rush the backfield from the edge or up the middle. What I like most about Utley is his maturity towards the game as he knows how to play with leverage and use his hands to get into the backfield. It will be hard to move Utley from the Top 5 overall prospects in this state and someone that could play his way into the Pro ranks one day.
Highlights
The Trojans have a stud on their hands in Edwards and a talent that could develop into the best defensive tackle prospect that has come out of this state in quite some time. This West Tennessee product is a big dude that moves very well with his 300 plus pound body, showing explosive game play on film and the ability to disrupt the backfield in a variety of ways. Edwards is a powerful dude that uses his strength and speed off the ball to manhandle O-linemen then finish with controlled violence. He has active hands along with an agile lower base that gives the opposition fits. The Trojans staff have been working hard to shave off the pounds from Edwards and make him more explosive and the word is it’s working, so watch out for a big breakout season this Fall from the #2 ranked D-lineman in the #TN2025 class.
Part of a dynamic one/two punch at defensive tackle for the Mustangs, Jean-Charles is the team’s run plugger who sports the size to handle the nose in college but also the upside with his mobility to rush the backfield as well. This 6’4 300 pound rising junior has steadily gotten better throughout his high school career thus far but is still developing and molding his body into that Power Five level prospect that his offers suggest. Jean-Charles looks the part and shows flashes on film of dominance but must continue working on his explosion and lower body agility to become the kind of player many think he can become. All the potential is there to become a top level D-Tackle prospect from our junior class, so Jean-Charles will be a must follow over the next two years.

Playing alongside Jean-Charles sits this high motor interior pass rusher that put together a strong sophomore campaign that led to several big offers this off-season and pushed his stock higher into Power Five status. Carter, Jr shows excellent burst and get-off along with active hands and the mature understanding on how to get after the quarterback. This Mid-Tennessee talent also shows flashes of excellent work against the run. He does need to keep gaining more power and strength to stack linemen and chase after the ball carrier but the potential is certainly there. Carter, Jr isn’t the 6’4 monster like others out there but he makes up for it with athleticism, football knowledge and desire, which appeals to collegiate coaches.

A new name on the scene here in Tennessee, Bachammar is a dude many should get to know early as his film shows an explosive, physical and violent competitor that has D1, Power Five abilities written all over him. Currently ranked as the 5th best D-lineman in the state, Bachammar is a highly active interior trench monster that plays equally well against the pass and the run. He stacks linemen well, playing with good leverage then breaking free and chasing down the ball with nice pursuit and range. Bachammar sports a strong upper body and active hands, so he is tough to pin down and block. His stock has yet to take off but watch for Bachammar to become a household name by the end of the upcoming Fall season.
Buzz has been strong this off-season for Moore and by watching his camp clips, you can see why! What this East Tennessee talent has going for him is that Moore is a big dude with a well put together body that looks like it will fit well on the collegiate gridiron, so by his physical stature alone, the Pats rising junior will be a heavily recruited prospect. Moore is a good athlete from the interior of the D-line who shows on film the ability to rush the backfield but also hold his position to break free from blocks and chase after the ball. He sports a strong upper body along with an agile lower base, so his combination of power and speed should be very appealing to collegiate coaches moving forward. I expect to see Moore pick up plenty of offers in time while also watching his ranking rise before his recruiting cycle is finished.

Coffman is headed into his junior season with tons of experience behind his belt, playing on back to back state title runner-up teams while developing alongside multiple college level players. All that experience started to show up this off-season where Coffman took a big step in his progression by showing off enhanced agility and burst along with added technique. The Patriots junior D-lineman has excellent size and a nice frame to take on more weight while also having the versatility to play the edge or slide inside within a 3-4 defense. Coffman is a worker and a guy who loves the game, so with his work ethic and physical size, I expect college coaches to get involved with him sooner than later.

If this Mid-Tennessee big man can figure out how good he can be and remain focused on everything important towards becoming the player he can be, Hall could develop into one of the best defensive prospect from the #TN2025 class. Explosive, physical and violent are three things you immediately see when turning on Hall’s sophomore highlights. The dude plays fast and hard with a quick get-off and the strong hands to displace offensive linemen. While Hall shows big time upside, he is still lacking technique and the conditioning to dominate the entire game but once he puts everything together, the Lions D-lineman could become one of the more heavily recruited prospects from our in-state junior class.

Vanderbilt became the 1st college offer recently for this Mid-Tennessee D-lineman and they won’t be the last as Garcia has the athleticism, mobility and size that collegiate coaches look for and he is still far from a finished product. Looking over his sophomore highlights, Garcia can work multiple roles across the D-line but might place best inside where he can grow into a multi versed guy that can rush the backfield but also stuff the run. He shows a strong upper body along with active hands, so the upside is there to become an excellent pass rusher on the collegiate level. Garcia does need to keep enhancing his craft and adding more weight but the potential is definitely there and by adding an SEC offer, watch for other big programs to get involved soon!

Looking over this year’s crop of defensive linemen, Hagan is one guy who sports the mobility and physical look to become a highly recruited prospect but he has yet to touch his potential. Standing 6’3 240 plus pounds along with a background in rugby, Hagan is a physical dude who shows on film quickness off the ball and the lower base agility to rush the backfield from a variety of areas across the defensive line. The Mustangs junior defender has the lean look to work the edge along with active hands and a nice burst that opposing offensive linemen have a problem dealing with. While having these traits and upside, Hagan has yet to put it all together but maybe after another off-season of development, this West Tennessee product is due for a big breakout junior campaign.
This West Tennessee nose tackle burst onto the scene last Fall and rode his momentum into the off-season by landing several big offers but things quieted down, however Shivers a big dude that has the size and mobility to make it to the big stage of college ball, so you can see why the West Tennessee product holds several Power Five offers. The Vikings junior two-way lineman is a load to handle up front due to his size, power and explosive flashes coming off the ball. He fits the bill of a run stuffing nose guard that can also provide a push up the middle, collapsing the pocket. Shivers has much work to go with his motor and technique but the natural athletic abilities for his size are there to become a heavily recruited prospect.
An active motor with D-line versatility, Boone is an intriguing talent that shows flashes on film of dominant play but has yet to put everything together, however this coming junior year should be a great opportunity for this Warriors defender to have a breakout season. Boone is an undersized guy at 6’2 240 but he makes up for it with his intense game play, active hands and physical upper body. The Warriors junior does a good job of getting off the ball quickly then shedding blocks to chase after the ball. Boone has the physical makeup to develop best inside at tackle but within a 3-4 defense, this West TN prospect could slide outside and rush off the edge. Much is yet to learn for Boone but the potential is there for him to see an uptick in his recruiting with continued development and work.
Watch List …..
Braydon Coffelt Braydon Coffelt 6'2" | 235 lbs | DL Marion Co. | 2025 TN – Marion Co.: A versatile prospect with edge rushing upside, Coffelt is a bit undersized right now to battle full time in the trenches but he shows good potential as an edge pass rusher within a 3-4 defense.
Caleb Hollowell Caleb Hollowell 6'7" | 230 lbs | DL Raleigh-Egypt | 2025 TN – Raleigh-Egypt: Tall and long with a big frame for added size, Hollowell has the physical tools and traits to develop into one of the best at his position from the West TN region and someone that can make it into the collegiate game.
Quinton Humphrey Quinton Humphrey 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL Greeneville | 2025 TN – Greeneville: Raw and still learning, Humphrey is a big dude with the physical abilities and upside to develop into a D1, FCS level recruit but he needs more experience on the field to become the kind of prospect he can become.
Terrence Madlock Terrence Madlock 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL Bartlett | 2025 TN – Germantown: Madlock is a big dude that moves well, who fits the bill of a nose tackle in the college game but he needs more experience and development before he becomes the prospect he can be.
Jaden Owens Jaden Owens 6'5" | 250 lbs | DL Beech | 2025 TN – Beech: This Mid-Tennessee product is an under the radar talent that many may not know too much about right now but he has the size and athletic traits to turn into an eventual college recruited prospect.
Cornelius Thompson Cornelius Thompson 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Southwind | 2025 TN – Ridgeway: The Roadrunners have a nice defensive piece to build around here in Thompson over the next two years as he brings a physical approach to his defensive end position along with the upside as a quick burst edge rusher.
