Strengths – It’s hard to find D-linemen that sport the proper size, athletic skills and upside to excel in the college game but this Memphis area senior has it with plenty of room for growth. Hollowell is a big boy at 6’7 230 pounds with long arms and a great frame that can take on plenty of weight that should immediately appeal to collegiate coaches. When you turn on his junior film, what you see is a big presence on the edge of the defensive line that has good burst along with range to chase down the ball. Hollowell does well at using his big hands to shed blocks then get up field quickly. The Pharaohs senior D-lineman has good speed that can develop further with more growth and maturity. Where I think his pass rushing abilities may fit best on the next level are inside as a 3-technique where he can use his size and athletic abilities to his advantage. Hollowell also shows on the film to become a stalwart against the run due to his natural power and ability to get off blocks. I like this guy’s versatility and his ability to potentially play multiple positions across the defensive front with his best work possibly coming from the inside. 

Improvement – Hollowell has all the size you want but if he wants to reach his maximum capabilities he must continue developing his bend, burst and lower base agility. He can be a bit stiff at times, allowing himself to get locked up. Added power and size will definitely help with that and I believe it will come with maturity and continued work in the weight room. Increasing that lower base explosion is key as well, giving Hollowell a better shot at getting up field and after the quarterback. 
 

Overview – This is a boom or bust type prospect for me and that all depends on how Hollowell progresses with himself over these off-season months. You can’t teach size and Hollowell has that along with long arms and a nice frame but it’s his explosion and overall athleticism that needs to take a step up before he realizes how good he can be. I can see the Pharaohs defensive lineman picking up steam on the recruiting trail before too long based upon the team’s need at the D-line position along with his potential across the defensive front. A big senior year would also do wonders for this Memphis area prospect. If he can show a quicker get-off along with more power, college coaches will start paying more attention.

Caleb Hollowell Caleb Hollowell 6'7" | 230 lbs | DL Melrose | 2025 State TN is a super long and lengthy edge prospect out of at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds out of Raleigh-Egypt High School with the build to still add weight to his frame. Good vs the run, solid discipline on the backside of the runs with good ability to stay clean and avoid pullers. Good technique, Hollowell is good at staying square with quality hand usage to stack and shed. Consistent tackler, he plays with good hustle and really shows a great understanding of how to use his length. Good aggressiveness and physicality in his hits with some versatility to play some LB
