Derald Mitchell
Derald Mitchell
Few players stand out on defense like Derald “Debo” Mitchell. He is the player every coach wants to have roaming the defensive backfield with his pre-snap reads and anticipation. As a run stopper, Mitchell hits like a linebacker with the speed of a safety to prevent big plays from breaking. Has great vision to see where a ball carrier is headed and launch himself towards the play. Is able to shed blocks with his quickness. Does not shy away from contact either from blocks or making a tackle. Is a very clean tackler by delivering big hits and gets his man wrapped up. Plays sound coverage against the pass, has the quickness to turn any mistake he sees into a potential turnover. A gifted athlete with a muscular frame, he is an explosive running back as well using his quickness to make big plays. Shows off his athletic range with clean cuts, quick acceleration and top end speed to create points in a hurry. Mitchell has offers to Miami of Ohio, UMass and Central Michigan to name a few, but should be on the radar of even more programs. He is a player that is rare to find with his performances in big moments.

Camaron Brown
Camaron Brown
An edge rusher with the attitude and speed to be a regular pass disruptor, Camaron Brown can get after the quarterback with the best of them in Northeast Ohio. A full-framed defender at 6-foot-2 and 220-pounds, Brown is often more than linemen can handle when he comes down off the line. Has a sizable wingspan to keep hands off his pads when in attack mode. Carries a lot of strength in his arms to beat his man, can control bigger lineman with relative ease. Has a quick understanding of the play with impressive reaction to hunt down ball carriers. Keeps his hips low for better body control to attack plays. Able to handle double teams while fighting towards the play to still make an impact. Is able to break through double teams thanks to his strength and technique. Keeps active hands when making a tackle to ensure the ball carrier is brought down, can also cause fumbles. Is a high-motor player that goes after plays even when they are headed in the opposite direction of him. Brown has gotten out to camps and visits this offseason to Eastern Michigan, Youngstown and Ohio State. He has an offer from South Dakota, but is a guy who should pick up more in a new program this fall.

Cole Fulton
Cole Fulton
Cole Fulton is a downhill linebacker that fills gaps against the run and has the speed to make plays in the flats. Fulton checks all the boxes of a next level linebacker with good size, muscular build throughout and athleticism to play against the run or pass. Reads plays with rapid pace to position himself properly to stop a play. A cleanup tackler with a long wingspan and above average strength for his position to take down players by himself. Is a natural athlete and makes highlight reel plays as a running back, but makes his mark as a middle linebacker. Is a solid option out of the backfield as a pass catcher, can make difficult catches in traffic. A hard runner to bring down. Has light feet to make direction changes with speed. His intensity on both sides of the ball make him a visible leader on the field. Is aggressive in his block shedding by being able to overpower blockers or perform speed moves to get to the ball carrier. Fulton is fun to watch whenever he takes the field, but as an impact linebacker I have not seen many better than him. One of the most difficult positions to stand out at, Fulton is a top-tier middle linebacker with the offers to show it. Currently holds offers to Saint Francis and Davidson, but don’t be surprised when more come his way.

Anthony Carter
Anthony Carter
Anthony Carter is a two-way player that brings exceptional play on both sides of the ball as a defensive back as well as a running back. A thunderous back with the speed and power to go through or around a defender, Carter is a difference maker with the ball in his hands. His next level balance allows him to crash into defenders while maintaining footing to keep moving forward. Runs very well outside the tackles, hits the edge at full speed with a good burst to get chunk yardage. Clean running style to change direction at top speed to work upfield. Has good speed to finish off long runs. He is a back that takes more than one defender to bring down given his strength and speed. On defense, he is a menace that plays with instincts and intensity to make plays all over the field. Can play up on the line to get after the quarterback, changes direction with ease to avoid defenders to cause pressure. Reads plays as they happen when dropped back, is quick to slash towards the ball carrier for big hits. Can separate the ball from an opponent with contact or anticipate a quarterback’s eyes for interceptions. Carter is the type of player that could win defensive or offensive honors to no surprise which is rare in today’s game. He is a guy to lookout for at the next level with an offer to Clarion, but for now a player to watch in his senior season.
