Tim Switzer
Tim Switzer
Tim Switzer solidifies the interior of the offensive line as a clear-out specialist with good power and footwork. Is a solid size at 6-foot-2 to be bigger than most defensive linemen while keeping himself under a defenders pads. Gets excellent extension in his arms in the middle of the line to put a defender on skates to open holes for his backs. He is one of the last players you want to see pulling if you’re a defender as Switzer is a freight train as he gains speed. Is a good drive blocker if his man can absorb the first hit. Stays under control when blocking after a pull to give his back more than enough time to clear through. Is an above average pass blocker for an interior linemen, can handle one-on-one situations with no problem. Shows good strength to deflect blitzing linebackers and keeps his feet moving to maintain block. Plays defensive line as well, is more than effective at eating up blocks and can bring down ball carriers with ease. Switzer has picked up three offers this offseason to Westminster, Ohio Wesleyan and Heidelberg as he has picked up steam headed into August. A fun lineman to watch, Switzer is one of the top interior linemen you will see in Northeast Ohio.

Isaiah Allen
Isaiah Allen
Isaiah Allen is the type of right tackle you never get tired watching. Allen does his job each play and loves nothing more than sending his man down to the turf. He plays his position properly with an aggressive style of play to keep his quarterback’s jersey clean. His offseason has been busy with a few camps leading to offers to Thomas More, Clarion, Tiffin and Ashland so far. He has the interest of several MAC schools while he looks to make the most of his senior year. With his 6-foot-4 frame, he has the size to excel at the next level with his style of play. Is already sound in his technique coming from his stance in pass protection to deliver power where he needs it. Keeps his hips low to maintain leverage against defenders with power coming from his legs. Takes short, aggressive steps to maintain his block before sensing a weakness in his opponent where he can capitalize to send them down. Is still developing his game, but his film from his junior year is as good as I’ve seen out of a player. For any coach or fan that enjoys watching quality offensive line play, Isaiah Allen is a must watch player.

Eddie Andrews
Eddie Andrews
Eddie Andrews is a linebacker that weaponizes his speed to force pressure whenever he takes the field. Whatever you do, don’t leave Andrews uncovered on punts or he will get to the punter before it’s too late. Managed two impressive punt blocks last season to showcase his 4.44 speed with an exclamation point. Plays comfortably playing his zone in pass coverage and can adjust his body quickly to come up and stop the run. Can flex from playing up on his man or further back as a defensive back type against pass coverage making him a very versatile player to have on defense. Shows clean tackling form to bring down ball carriers of any size and is an above average tackler in one-on-one situations. His speed paired with his body control make him a player that often ends up in the right place at the right time for turnovers. Shows a disciplined approach to his assignment, does not get caught out of place. Andrews is the type of player that makes those around him better with his knowledge of the game. He shows all the qualities of a leader on defense his team can rely on in big situations.

Steven Lesperance
Steven Lesperance
Steven Lesperance plays a hard-nosed brand of defense end that creates pressure against the run and pass game. Lesperance has the physical tools to create problems in the back field in a hurry with good speed as well as strength to finish off plays. His long arms are a major factor against offensive linemen to get power moves off that create pressure for quarterbacks. He shows good use of his long arms to shed blockers off and attack ball carriers. Utilizes his arm strength to wrap up ball carriers when they come within reach which is a wide area for Lesperance. Shows a good motor to keep after plays even when they are towards the opposite field he is on. Fires out of his stance faster than most defensive ends to gain an advantage quickly. Has good body control to stay with playmakers to contain quarterbacks and running backs attempting to evade pressure. Shows good ability to read pressure and react against the direction he is being blocked, can get out of blocks with power moves primarily. This was my first time seeing Lesperance’s tape and I was left very impressed with a quick defensive end that can create a lot of pressure from either side of the line.
