Continue ReadingSince I last wrote about the SIAC, we have seen multiple offers and commitments from the young men talked about in those articles. I want to congratulate all of them on their successes. Moving forward I will be revealing the young talent found in the SIAC. This will not be the only article written on the 2025s in the SIAC. The conference is stacked with young talent and future stars of the conference.
Ben Davies
Ben Davies
Ben Davies from FJ Reitz is a pocket passer with tremendous upside. Ben only played in 7 games last season before suffering a torn labrum. In just 7 games, Ben threw for 1,561 yards, with a 63% completion percentage, 18 TDs, and 7 INTs. Put on his Sophomore film and watch him deliver the ball deep with great accuracy. The ball seems to float in the air for a long time, making it on target with pinpoint accuracy. Ben is smart and decisive in his passing progression, making great decisions to move the ball down the field. Expect Ben Davies to pick up where he left off and lead the Reitz Panthers to another great season.
Alex Broshears Alex Broshears 5’10” | 200 lbs | LB Evansville Memorial | 2025 State IN is a tackling machine for Evansville Memorial. Alex had 74 solo tackles, 33 assists, 107 total tackles, and 6 TFLs last season. He earned 2nd Team All-Conference and earned IFCA 4A Junior All-State honors as a Sophomore. This young man is the real deal and is only getting better! Alex has a nose for the football and does a great job tracking the ball. He is a physical tackler and physical when defending off blockers. This young man does not stay blocked and continues to be an issue for opposing teams. Keep an eye out for Alex Broshears Alex Broshears 5’10” | 200 lbs | LB Evansville Memorial | 2025 State IN this season and watch him have another dominating performance.
Highlights
Evansville North Benjamin Brasher Benjamin Brasher 6’4″ | 315 lbs | OL Evansville North | 2025 State IN is one of my favorite 2025 OL. He is the definition of a bulldozer! Ben is listed at 6’3″ 300 lbs. and he is an absolute force. This young man has a strong upper and lower body that buries his opponents into the turf. The most impressive attribute I see on film is his agility. He moves so well laterally and at the second level. Ben plays with great hands and feet in pass protection. Benjamin Brasher Benjamin Brasher 6’4″ | 315 lbs | OL Evansville North | 2025 State IN is going to be a big-time player in the SIAC for the next two years and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him getting collegiate interest this fall.
Highlights
Benny Patterson Benny Patterson 6’3″ | 240 lbs | DL Castle | 2025 State IN from Castle is going to be one of the most dominant DL in the SIAC this season. Benny had 7 solo tackles, 34 assists, 41 total tackles, 2 TFLs, and 2 sacks last season. This young man has picked up Indiana State and Kentucky Wesleyan offers this summer. He has transformed himself this offseason into a great passer and looks to be unblockable. His long arms and great speed off the ball are going to make him a problem for opposing offenses. I’ve been very impressed with the film he has put out this summer and has shown tremendous growth in his techniques. Benny Patterson Benny Patterson 6’3″ | 240 lbs | DL Castle | 2025 State IN will be an all-conference DL in the SIAC for the next two years.
Maximus McCool Maximus McCool 5’11” | 180 lbs | RB Castle | 2025 State IN is an impressive young RB from Castle High School. Max had 100 carries, 755 yards, 83.9 yards per game, and 9 TDs. He has also earned an offer from the University of Saint Francis. Watch Max’s film and the first thing you will notice is his great vision. He plays with great vision between the tackles and finds open gaps for large gains. This is what makes Max a big-time playmaker for the Knights. Hard-nosed, North and South runner is how I would describe Max’s running style. He hits the hole and sheds off multiple tackles on his way to the endzone. Good luck slowing down Maximus McCool Maximus McCool 5’11” | 180 lbs | RB Castle | 2025 State IN for the next two years.
