Highlights
McLellan’s a long defensive end at 6’4”/230 with the physical tools to be an effective pass rusher. He shows good bend and lateral movement coming off the edge. He’s a patient cut-back defender that plays with his eyes and stays square to the LOS. He utilizes his hands and reach (78” WS) well to keep OL from getting into his frame. Totaled 6 sacks and 12 TFLs as a junior. McLellan picked up his first offer from Navy with other interest coming from SDSU, Wyoming, and Georgia Tech.
Ford offers promising raw size and athleticism as a DE for Helix. He’s a bouncy defender on the edge that flashes mobility and bend getting into the backfield. He excels at sealing and containing the edge in the run game. He has a tendency to get too upright out of his stance and could generate even more power and explosion off the ball by being more consistent with leverage and pad level. Ford will be a defender to watch among Helix’s talented front-seven.
Nathan Terzoli
Nathan Terzoli
Terzoli is a physical, high-motor defender from his DE spot for Point Loma’s defense. He plays with great effort getting off blocks and tracking back towards the sidelines. He makes good use of his hands shedding blocks but could utilize his reach better to keep OL from getting into his frame. Terzoli was extremely productive as a junior leading Point Loma in sacks and TFLs (12.5, 20.5), and added 61 total tackles.
Aidan Cornthwaite
Aidan Cornthwaite
Cornthwaite flashed at DE despite being limited to 3 games as a junior. He brings an athletic skill set to the position with a 6’4”/205 frame that can add mass. He shows range getting down the line and the motor to track down ball-carriers from backside. Cornthwaite’s a raw prospect with growth and development to look forward to this season.
Adam Farha
Adam Farha
Farha’s an explosive athlete off the edge with a tendency to be disruptive in the backfield. He excels at beating OTs off the snap with a quick first step and notable burst cutting inside. He shows good tracking speed working from the backside and consistent leverage with his wrestling skillset/background. Could improve as a block-shedder by being more active and violent with his hands. Farha also plays FB on offense and has an underrated athletic and physical skillset.
