Corner Canyon Chargers

Corner Canyon finished as the 6A runner ups a year ago and will once again be one of the top contenders in the state's top classification. The Chargers return several key contributors from last year's team, including three of our top five players in the class of 2024. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='406954' first='Isaac' last='Wilson'] and receiver [player_tooltip player_id='572405' first='Tate' last='Kjar'] are one of the state's best offensive duos. They will be supported by one of the state's best offensive lines, led by recent University of Utah commit [player_tooltip player_id='406956' first='Isaiah' last='Garcia']. Defensively [player_tooltip player_id='406961' first='Kash' last='Dillion'] and [player_tooltip player_id='406966' first='Bo' last='Tate'] will lead a ferocious Corner Canyon defense. Head coach Eric Kjar and the Chargers could find themselves back in the state championship game for a fifth straight year.

Bingham Miners

The Miners won Region 3 last year and will have a shot to win Region 2 this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='532681' first='Carson' last='Sudbury'], one of the state's top returning athletes, is back after an impressive junior campaign. He can make game-changing plays as a running back and receiver. Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='698477' first='Nick' last='Hallock'] leads the Miners up front and will make sure Bingham remains one of the top rushing offenses this fall. Defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='698243' first='Jaice' last='Tupea'] and [player_tooltip player_id='872775' first='Will' last='Van Cott'] will provide consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. While defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='698403' first='Charger' last='Doty'] will lock down the back end of the Binham defense. Head coach Eric Jones and the Miners could be in for another deep postseason run.

Mountain Ridge Sentinels

Mountain Ridge has steadily improved each year and could be one of the state's top teams this fall. Running back Semisis Kinikini is back after being one of the top rushers in the states in 2022. Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='875582' first='Adam' last='Hawkes'] and the other Sentinels up front will open plenty of holes for Kinikini this fall. Wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='894782' first='Ryker' last='Renteria'] is an exceptional route runner and is set for a breakout season. Defensively Mountain Ridge has one of the state's top pass rushers in [player_tooltip player_id='698236' first='Taylor' last='Higham']. He can win with speed and uses his hands well. Head coach Mike Meifu and the Sentinels will be a force to reckon with for any team they face off against.
