I have spent some time recently really digging into my evaluation and discovery of prospects to bring some new prospects to the table. Here are a few that have caught my attention as of late, and they're all from the Metro Atlanta area.

Josh Anglin - 2024 - LB - Mill Creek

Anglin recently gifted North Alabama with his commitment. The Lions are getting a consistent and productive state champion from the LB position. Anglin is built like your typical thumper-style MLB. He is stout at 6'0 215 with thick legs and a filled-out upper half. Playing against the state's best competition, Anglin showed that he is more than capable of meeting legit RB prospects in the gap with force and good pad level. He is a true "back against the wall" LB prospect who is able to move piles and hold his own against blockers. While he is more of a downhill player, Anglin shows good sideline-to-sideline speed and takes good angles to the football. He isn't a super twitchy prospect, but he has the awareness and focus to stay balanced and disciplined in space against quicker defenders. With his motor and pursuit skills, Anglin has a pass-rushing presence from the second level, racking up 5 sacks on the year. Anglin is a stout run defender with good sideline-to-sideline speed and blitzing skills. He checks out as a D1 prospect.

Amari Watson - 2024 - ATH - Harrison

Watson is a dynamic two-way prospect for Harrison that I project to play WR at the next level. Watson is simply a smooth, consistent option at receiver. He is quick and explosive off the snap and shows good flexibility and suddenness in his routes, which allows him to create space. He has good body control, making numerous catches when falling to the ground and adjusting to the ball path. For a shorter, smaller receiver listed at 5'11 165, he doesn't shy away from contact and is able to hold onto the football through contact. Where Watson really separates himself is with his playmaking skills with the ball in his hands. He shows quick, clean footwork which he uses to break down defenders. He shows good flexibility in his hips, knees, and ankles, and is able to bend in and out of running lanes. Watson's value on special teams and defense makes him an even more well-rounded prospect. Watson is a playmaker who should shine at a lower level of football.

Jaden Gould - 2025 - OL - Dacula

Jaden Gould is a huge wildcard on this list. He has no tape and still has plenty to prove as a prospect. However, it would be foolish to not have him on my radar at all. Why? Because he is one of, if not the biggest offensive lineman in the state. Gould measures in at 6'9 300 and according to coaches, he can bend. Just by looking at him, he obviously has length and a pretty athletic build. Gould will of course need to tie everything together on the field, but he is still on my radar thanks to his physical traits.

[player_tooltip player_id='1566871' first='Xavier' last='Hill'] - 2025 - QB - Harrison

Hill is a dynamic QB prospect with some real physical upside. He is a long, thin 5'11 180 and has not even begun to reach his peak physically. He is used often as a runner, showing that he can elude tacklers and bend to create separation. He is also physical, lowering his shoulder and falling forward in short-yardage situations. He could just settle into a skill spot later in his career, but his arm talent is what catches my eye when projecting him as a QB. From his baseball background, he has a quick, snappy release and can put a lot of heat on the ball. With development, he will start to add more touch on the ball and develop more awareness in the pocket, but he can still put plenty of heat on his throws and pierce through numerous layers of the defense. Hill is still young and developing, but his ceiling is high. He will be an intriguing player to watch this fall.

Dayton Raiola - 2026 - QB - Buford

[player_tooltip player_id='364178' first='Dylan' last='Raiola'], the elite 2024 QB committed to UGA, is not the only Raiola coming into Buford. His brother, Dayton, is an impressive lefty with a bright future. Raiola is a smooth operator at the QB spot with an impressive feel for the game at his age. He is a touch-ball thrower, showing that he can drop the ball on a dime and give his playmakers the best chance of making plays. His freshman tape shows me that he can throw with excellent timing, anticipation, and awareness. He is more of a pocket passer at this stage of his career, but he shows the ability to shuffle away from pressure and reset his feet to make an accurate throw downfield. He can also tighten up his delivery and put more velocity on the ball to fit it into tight windows. Raiola could contribute immediately, but he instead will have a chance to sit and learn behind his brother and several other legit QBs, which could be even better for his development.
