Mario Tolo
Mario Tolo
Mario Tolo is a reactive linebacker that fires hard up the middle to stuff the run. Tolo is a physically strong player that hits low and doesn’t get pushed back to plug up running lanes. An aggressive tackler that can force ball carriers back when squared up. Makes tackles regularly without assistance. A capable blitzer with speed to get past linemen and has the hips adjust to mobile quarterbacks with fluidity. Does a good job reading the offensive line to attack where the ball carrier is headed. Plays well in coverage, makes clean lateral movements and can accelerate towards the play. High motor player that will track ball carriers even when he is on the other side of the play. Strong arms that give him the ability to shed blocks in traffic. Has the speed to reach the sidelines and contain mobile quarterbacks when in coverage. A dependable player that understands his assignments on film. Tolo has the size at 6-foot-2 you want in an impact linebacker, stands out on film with his play. A player college coaches need to be watching in his senior year, has the ability and size to play at the next level.

Dane West
Dane West
Dane West is a go-to target that extends the field as a vertical threat on offense and is a contributor on defense as a sound cornerback. West has an athletic build with solid muscle to create seperation when in coverage. Is a sound route runner at the first level to release off a defender to move the sticks. Is a good downfield threat by advancing to open space for his quarterback to throw to. Has good speed and balance as a runner to gain yards after the catch. Strong hands to make routine and higher difficulty catches on a regular basis. Uses his knowledge and experience as a receiver to excel as a coverage corner. Keeps a focus on his man while checking into the quarterback to get a full picture of a play. Uses his athleticism to change direction to maintain coverage. Reacts to the ball at its highest point to defend or create turnovers. West picked up a pair of offers this season from Wittenberg and Heidelberg this offseason ahead of his senior year, will see more interest coming his way with another season like his junior year.

Austin Mattox
Austin Mattox
Austin Mattox is a dual-threat quarterback that was a strong decision maker as a sophomore on varsity to help his team progress throughout the season. Mattox is a player that excites with his style of play by playing well as both a runner and a passer. His speed allows him to burn defenses that don’t leave a spy on him with big gains in open space. He does a good job lowering his helmet to be an aggressive runner in short yardage situations. He isn’t a player that tucks the ball at the first sign of trouble, will remain behind the line to look for an open receiver. Was very successful in the red zone with well-timed passes showing a full grasp of the playbook at a young age. Has a compact delivery on short throws to give his receiver the most separation off his route to grab the pass. Is very confident in first level throws, but can wind up and deliver the deep ball if he sees an opening. While he is a young quarterback, he is an experienced one headed into his junior year with experience at some big camps. Attending Kent State and Buffalo to get his name out there more, Mattox has the chance at a big junior year to set him up for more college interest.

Will Stack
Will Stack
Will Stack is an elusive playmaker that can make players miss then use his burst to make big plays. A player with great body control to perform cuts and other quick movements, Stack is a hard runner to bring down no matter how many defenders you throw at him. Keeps his body low to vanish around defenders better than most position players. Has next level vision to find the smallest gap to gain yardage. Racked up solid numbers as a wide receiver, running back and quarterback. Does his most damage as a receiver where he can use open space first before slipping out of tackles. Is a solid option out of the backfield to hit the edge or come out as a receiver. Played some quarterback as well with confidence in making throws on the run. Reads the option to pull down the ball when the opportunity opens up to become a dangerous runner. He even lines up as a kick returner. It’s hard to find a player to do as much as Stack has and do it at a high level. His versatility is impressive at the high level of competition he faces. Stack racked up 17 total touchdowns, would not surprise me to see even more production in his senior year.
