JaQorian Wiggles – 2024 – WR – Mays
Wiggles is a big, physical receiver prospect with some serious upside. Wiggles is off the charts physically, coming in at 6’4 185 with extremely long arms. He is thin right now, but is defined enough to pose as a physical receiving threat on the outside. His size and reach offers him natural leverage against defenders. He shows natural catching ability with a large catch radius, allowing him to reel in touch passes downfield. Wiggles is decent after the catch. He is a raw mover in space at this stage of his development, but he is tough to bring down and is not afraid to lower his shoulder and fight through tacklers. It frequently takes numerous defenders to bring him down. Wiggles is still getting a grasp of the position, but he is a big receiving target with plus athleticism and is not afraid of contact. There is late-bloomer potential here.
Donovan Funsch – 2024 – TE – Perry
This is my first time watching Funsch, and I am impressed with what he has to offer. He is instantly one of my top 2024 TEs on my board. Funsch is all of 6’6 250 and can certainly hold his own physically. He is more than a willing blocker. In fact, he is one of the better blocking TEs I’ve seen on tape. He punches with good hand placement and generates strength from his lower body to drive defenders out of the picture. When he acts as an in-line blocker, he is essentially an extension of the offensive line. Funsch will add the most value at the next level as a blocker, but he has decent spatial awareness. He has good hands and good enough body control to adjust his body to make all kinds of catches. Funsch has several D1 offers and has the look of a prospect that can step in and contribute early.
Huseyin Simsir – 2024 – TE – Rabun Gap
Similar to Funsch, Simsir is a stout TE prospect at 6’5 245. While he certainly projects at the TE spot, Simsir is extremely versatile and seemingly lines up at a different position on every clip, even at punter. Simsir is often used as a lead blocker downfield as he has the speed and impact-blocking skills to escort ball carriers downfield. Simsir is a natural playmaker when he gets the ball in his hands. He often takes direct snaps and lines up in the backfield on certain formations. He doesn’t shy away from contact, moves well, and often takes multiple defenders to bring him down. He isn’t super twitchy, but he is comfortable in space and does a good job of sitting in soft zones. For his size, he has solid body control and tracks the ball well in the air. Simsir has some of the most intriguing tape in the 2024 class and is worthy of a look by D1 coaches.
Quinton Charles – 2024 – CB – Harrison
Charles is an experienced, competitive cover corner who caught my eye in person a few weeks ago. After watching some tape, I am still high on him and believe he is one of the more underrated 2024 CBs in the Metro Atlanta area. Charles passes the eye test. He is 6’0 170 with long arms, he is also built out pretty well which allows him to hold his own physically against defenders. I saw him in person lined up across from Walter Matthews Walter Matthews 6'7" | 245 lbs | TE Hiram | 2024 State GA , a massive USC commit. Charles didn’t back down from the competition and held his own against a high-quality football player with Sunday upside. Charles doesn’t have elite speed, but he relies on his length and effort to play through the football to make plays. He is a good tackler that comes downhill aggressively. He also plays with noticeable discipline and always gives himself a chance to make a play. There are faster and twitchier DBs in the 2024 class, but Charles is gritty and can get physical against anyone he lines up against.
Dontae Crowder – 2025 – WR – Christian Heritage
Crowder is an extremely raw football player, but his upside is there. In fact, he is already well-known as an athlete on the basketball court. While there isn’t a lot of football tape out there, we can still body-type Crowder and evaluate his athleticism to project what his ceiling can be as a football player. Crowder has an incredibly wide wingspan. At 6’4 and with his length, we know that he offers natural leverage, mismatch, and reach against practically any DB he lines up against. From his basketball background, he should bring over plenty of agility and leaping ability to the gridiron. We will have to see how Crowder handles the physicality of playing football. However, he has the athleticism to develop into a legit WR prospect if he can tie everything together.
