Last season, the Panthers went 10-2, including 7-0 in the York-Adams League. Their offense dominated, averaging 39.5 points per game, while their defense was solid, allowing 25.2 points per contest.
After dropping an early season contest to Cumberland Valley, the Panthers rebounded for nine straight wins before falling to Harrisburg in the playoffs to end their season.
The Panthers lost quite a few players from their team last year but still return a highly talented team this fall.
2024 RB Juelz Goff Juelz Goff 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Central York | 2024 State PA
The Pittsburgh commitment is one of the more exciting running backs in Pennsylvania with a combination of good size and athleticism. Goff has great vision with the ability to run up the middle or around the edge. Elusive runner with the ability to change direction smoothly.
“If there’s ever been a situation warranting a 1A and a 1B at running back, this situation would call for it. Juelz Goff Juelz Goff 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Central York | 2024 State PA ‘s game, tape, and recruitment all warrant a top spot placement. Central York’s premier option and weapon, Juelz Goff Juelz Goff 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Central York | 2024 State PA is likely to set the field on fire back-to-back seasons. There’s hardly a defense he’ll see in the regular season that has what it takes to throttle this special talent. Goff was a take at Pitt, with Goff announcing his decision back in January. Ijeboi might stand as the top prospect, yet I imagine Goff will outpace every back in terms of production on the field.“
2024 LB Domenic Grove Domenic Grove 5'11" | 215 lbs | LB Central York | 2024 State PA
His HUDL profile lists him at 6-foot-0 and 220 pounds, we have him at 5-foot-11, 215 pounds. Either way, Grove has quality size and shows good athleticism as well. A very physical linebacker with a high football IQ, can be the leader of your defense. He is best suited to play against the run but could develop into a three-down linebacker with some patience.
“A classic run stuffing linebacker. He reads the backfield action and has really good run fits. He is physical defender who drives through the offensive players. He is a type of player that excels when the game gets more physical. The other thing he does well is he shields blockers well. His ability to read, recognize and then attack downfield is a impressive trait. If he can continue to work on his speed and his play recognition he will have a strong Senior year and get several college football looks.”
2024 DL Ulonnam Ukattah Ulonnam Ukattah 6'1" | 225 lbs | DL Central York | 2024 State PA
Quality size off the edge at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds with good athleticism, reporting a 4.7 forty-yard dash. Good first step off the snap and shows good hand fighting skills, keeps a low bend, and is able to keep up with ball carriers as they look to change direction. Quality closing speed on ballcarriers as well. If he were slightly bigger, he’d likely have a few offers already but I believe there is plenty of potential in Ukattah, who could be one of the top edge rushers in his conference this fall.
“Ukattah is an athletic defensive end who has an amazing get off. He has the ability to attack the edge and put pressure on the quarterback. He didn’t have of sacks, but he was constantly in the face of the quarterbacks faces during games. He also had a non-stop motor and several times on film I seen him tackling ball carries down field. Ukattah is a type of player who is a late bloomer and has a chance to really have a strong Senior year and his recruitment will blow up.“
2025 WR Nasir Ruppert Nasir Ruppert 6'3" | 190 lbs | ATH Central York | 2025 State PA
Really fun wide receiver for Central York, who has camped for us before as well. Great size with good speed and athleticism, route running is quality, and has a good catch radius. Shows solid body control as well as good awareness. Will be one of the Panthers’ major playmakers alongside Goff.
“Love the way he tracked the football downfield, I love how he was hardly affected by physicality. Long limbs, long stride too, one that had him almost running a sub 4.7. I feel good about his current ranking among his 2025 classmates.”
2025 DB Saxton Suchanic Saxton Suchanic 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Central York | 2025 State PA
A defensive back with great size at 6-foot-3 with good athleticism has no problem staying with his wide receivers. Shows the ability to play in man or zone coverage, has good ball skills, and is a proficient tackler. Has a nice twitch to his game as well as as his length. No issues coming down from the secondary and helping out against the run either.
“We’ve had our eye on Saxton Suchanic Saxton Suchanic 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Central York | 2025 State PA for some time, this kind of size at DB is worth a peek or two. We had the luxury of doing so at our Spring camp, where Suchanic’s long limbs stood out amongst a small DB group. Suchanic put forth a solid sophomore tape that has us ready to cash in on his potential, doing so by ranking him as the fourth-best DB in his class. Press corner with bump and run capabilities. Sinks at the top of routes like he’s the one on offense. Such smooth feet, especially when transitioning into back pedal or when breaking toward the football. Hardly panics on tape, a trustworthy DB who will only gain more trust with more reps under his belt. Has ball skills and some interceptions on tape, yet that’s far from what I like about this young man. No ball skills or playmaking ability is necessary when you can lockdown wideouts like Suchanic can.”
2025 LB Tyler Frey Tyler Frey 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Central York | 2025 State PA
I believe Frey may be better suited as a safety at the next level, but he’s a very good athlete who has the play-recognition skills and vision to be a very good linebacker. Size more projects to safety (6-foot-0, 180-pounds), but the athleticism is there to play either position. Can play the run and pass very effectively and efficiently as well.
“Frey played linebacker for Central York last year. He is a a good athlete playing linebacker. He is a sideline and sideline defender. He does a nice job reading and reacting to the play and then coming up field to make a play. Frey also is a playmaker at linebacker. On his film you see him creating turnovers by attacking the ball carriers and the quarterbacks. Finally Frey is very good at dropping in coverage and making plays on the ball. Frey is a good linebacker prospect and showed the ability to make plays all over the field.”
2024 QB Aiden Johnson Aiden Johnson 6'2" | 215 lbs | DL Belle Vernon Area | 2024 State PA
Perhaps slightly undersized, but it shouldn’t also be a concern either at 5-foot-11. Left-handed passer with solid mechanics and quality arm strength. Will get his opportunity to start for the Panthers this season after sitting behind Nasir Still last fall. excited to see what Johnson could bring to the table as a starter.
2026 ATH Brendyn Smith
Smith is a potential Swiss army knife-type player for Central York. On the smaller side, but he is a good athlete who shows he’s not afraid of physicality, either. intrigued to see how he could be used in the future by Central York.
2026 ATH Kaden Graham
Graham played a little bit of everything as a freshman for Central York and is a player who absolutely loves to hit. Good play recognition skills and shows good football IQ for a rising sophomore. Not afraid to do the dirty work, always looking for someone to hit and blocks to the whistle.
2024 Carter Vaughn
Vaughn is a productive two-way player for Central York. Good athlete who shows some upside at cornerback thanks to good man-to-man skills. Shows ability to play zone as well. Nice athleticism and speed to his game as well, with a reported 4.68 forty-yard dash.
2024 Joe Alu
Alu is a great-sized defensive back at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, who projects well to safety or even linebacker at the next level. Good athleticism plays at a very fast pace, thanks to strong read-and-react skills. Plays downhill very well but can be productive against the pass as well. The more I watch, the more I think he will probably is a linebacker long-term, but either way, he’ll be a big piece of this Central York defense this fall.
