The Redzone Elite national 7v7 tournament is a massive event where athletes traveled from all over the country to showcase their talents while fighting for the championship title.
Only two Colorado teams reached the semifinals of the tournament, but neither managed to advance any further. Regardless of the overall outcome, there were a lot of players who had impressive performances during the tournament.
This article will wrap up the coverage on the Redzone Elite 7v7 Nationals by examining the players with the best overall performances, leaving a lasting impression heading into the summer months.
Blake Bishop (2026) was not just one of my MVPs from the event, but he was the player I found to be most impressive. His explosiveness and instinctual playing style allowed him to flash his elite potential by displaying a solid foundation of skills and techniques. He is a ball hawk offenses must account for because of his ability to be an impact player who disrupts passes and forces takeaways. Bishop’s showing with Team Full Gorilla landed him on the radar with high expectations for his future at Dakota Ridge.
Jake Scobey Jake Scobey 6'3" | 210 lbs | TE Thomas Jefferson | 2024 CO (2024) is a tight end and linebacker at Thomas Jefferson, but his showing as a backer for the Ducks7v7 team was nothing short of impressive. He did a fantastic job using his athleticism and explosiveness when changing directions to disrupt passes or secure takeaways. The two-way athlete stood out on both sides of the ball, adding versatility to the many reasons to recruit him. Scobey has been turning heads this offseason, making it no surprise that he was one of the top performers over the weekend.
Keenan Campbell Keenan Campbell 6'2" | WR Fountain-Fort Carson | 2024 State CO (2024) is a must-know player from Foutain-Fort Carson who put on an outstanding performance at the 7v7 tournament running with 719 Springs Elite. He is a big receiver with strong catching abilities who doubles as a dangerous safety with excellent jump ball defense. Campbell has the size that makes him an instant standout who should be on every prospect board in the area.
Jace Hines (2024) of Fairview had one of the more impressive performances of all the 18U receivers, partly due to him being a bit lower on the radar than many of his peers. The Ducks7v7 athlete is a speedster who did an excellent job at torching secondaries. He had a couple of big-time catches over talented defenders, proving he can compete with top talent. Hines ended the tournament with an outstanding showing and newfound real estate in the spotlight.
James Basinger James Basinger 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Columbine | 2025 State CO (2025) is the electrifying two-way standout from Columbine, who is often the topic of conversation whenever he is in sight. His skills as a runner are well-known at this point, but competing for the Ducks7v7 program allows him to showcase the other skills that make him a special prospect. He runs his routes with the same power and explosiveness that he uses to run between the tackles, making him a difficult receiver to reroute. As a safety, he does an outstanding job at using his athleticism and instincts to cover over the top and make plays on the ball. Basinger is consistently one of the top athletes wherever he goes, proving that he is on the cusp of being a breakout recruit.
Maxwell Lovett Maxwell Lovett 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Cherry Creek | 2026 CO (2026) is a future star that will add to the legacy of talented athletes to play for Cherry Creek. His ability to stretch the defense on deep routes is a testament to his height and strong route-running skills. He proved a reliable target for the Team Full Gorilla quarterbacks at the tournament, especially in one-on-one jump ball situations. Lovett is a young player with an exceptionally high ceiling, making him a player to lock in early.
Jayden Fox Jayden Fox ATH Cherry Creek | 2026 CO (2026) is a running back for Cherry Creek on a path that leads to greatness. Being more of a scat back, Fox also fit into Team Full Gorilla’s receiving core as a slot receiver. His quickness and shifty cuts give him the elusiveness needed to create space and get the ball with enough open field to make something happen. He can exploit the slightest creases within coverage or turn on the jets and break free around the outside. Fox is a special player with next-level talents. Add him to the list of big-time potential prospects.
It is difficult to pick one quarterback’s performance over another’s for a lot of reasons. One of which is the difference in performances from Saturday to Sunday. Two QB duos stood out among the rest, but only one of those groups managed to make it to the semifinals. Team Full Gorilla’s

Splitting series can be difficult for some QBs to gain a good rhythm with their receivers, but Stokes and Accardi III maintained a smooth flow that made the transition seem flawless. Both players approached each rep with the obvious intention of outperforming their last. Their eagerness for coaching and willingness to make instant corrections are notable qualities for the young players.
