Anthony Salamah
Anthony Salamah
If you’re looking for a stronger or more physical defensive tackle, you would be hard to find one that fits that role more than Anthony Salamah. A run-stuffing defensive tackle that commands double team blocks to slow him down, Salamah has been another student of the Lineman Lab that has shown improved footwork and arm skills to prepare for a big senior year. Already a player that has made an impact on varsity, he has been getting quicker coming off the line. His strength has never been in question as one of the strongest players not only on his team, but in all of Northeast Ohio. His ability to get hands on offensive linemen before extension is crucial to his success and has made a point to get even faster hands. He has shown better body control in his lower body and hips to keep a tight frame when working against pass pro. He can play offensive line as well, but is a name on defense coaches need to know. Salamah has gotten out to a bunch of camps this spring and summer from Ball State to Eastern Michigan and Toledo while still working hard at his craft. He’s a big man that can make a big impact on defense and help his team in a number of ways.

Michael Thomson
Michael Thomson
Michael Thomson is a quick defensive lineman that can use his speed to get past linemen to disrupt plays. His main weapon against the run is his quick-twitch speed right off the line that is hard to handle against slower offensive lineman. Finding himself in a new program for his senior year, Thomson brings his speed, size and long wingspan with him as a guy that can make his presence felt on the defensive line. At 6-foot-4, Thomson plays low and has been getting better at camps as well as training centers this summer. He has been showing a more polished stance firing out and keeping good form while getting out to camps. His arms have gotten faster as he gets his 6-foot-9 wingspan engaged with offensive linemen for his advantage. Has good footwork with a strong plant foot when working either to his left or his right. Shows quick hip rotation to change direction which will be a factor for him when he gets into the backfield. Attended the University of Wisconsin camp recently and got more coaching on his game as a guy that will be a contributor in a new defense.

Derek Neckar
Derek Neckar
Derek Neckar is an all-around football player that can bring a lot to his team when he’s on the field on offense or defense. He shows explosive tendencies as a runner or as a linebacker that make him a special player. He has tightened up his running form in preparation for even more playing time in the fall. Has above average strength as a linebacker and has been working on his block shedding technique. His quick feet have only gotten better with his frame filling out with gym time. Shows quick change of direction movement which aids him best as a ball carrier, but also as an impact linebacker. Neckar shows natural movements that make him a linebacker worth playing at the college level. As a result of his hard-nose abilities as a linebacker, he is an above average running back with good speed that is hard to bring down. Featured in an offense that likes to run the ball often, Neckar will have the opportunity to pick up a lot of yardage as a ball carrier. His offseason is one to watch as he builds up to a big senior year on a team that is built for the postseason.

Mitchell Lindsey
Mitchell Lindsey
Mitchell Lindsey has all the building blocks of being a big time pass blocker. At 6-foot-5 with a good wingspan, Lindsey has a solid base with his power coming from his legs. While his power comes from his legs, he shows good lateral movement and soft feet to position himself properly against speed or power rushers. Does a good job absorbing contact when it’s brought while keeping his hands on a defender. Gets good extension of his arms when needed, but uses his body and feet to knock a defender off a path to his quarterback. Has been working hard training in the Lineman Lab with results to show for it. Putting together a strong camp season at Saint Francis, Kent State and Akron, Lindsey has put himself out there as an offensive lineman that impresses. His game film highlights his aggressive playing style and drive to upend players to the ground when blocking for run or pass. Lindsey is a guy I can definitely see at the next level as he is often the biggest player on the field and backs it up with his style of play.
