Last Monday, I had the pleasure of attending Doane University’s Air Attack 7v7 Camp, where I got the chance to watch seven teams from different classes compete. From the seven, four teams made it to the final four with a chance to make it to the championships. I will be covering some standout athletes from those top four teams.
The third team review up is the Fillmore Central Panthers, who will be making the move to Class C1 this season. The Panthers had a strong senior presence on their team with players like
Kade Cooper

and
Treven Stassines

– Kade’s great performance ended in him receiving an offer from Doane.
– Great team leader! Kade stepped up vocally and with his play when the Panthers needed someone to get them some momentum.
– Kade is a great overall athlete that we had listed as a QB, but will likely be a versatile player in the Fillmore Central offense.
– Offensively, he shined as a receiver, using his bigger, stronger frame to make difficult catches over the middle of the field. He also showed good athleticism after the catch.
– Cooper elevates very well and can catch the ball at its highest point.
– Smart defender with great range. He was consistent at getting to the ball carrier from wherever he was on the field and made a few heads-up plays.

– Jarin was a pleasant surprise from the Fillmore Central team. He’s only going to be a junior but flashed a ton of upside as a receiver.
– He is a great route runner that was constantly leaving defenders in the dust.
– I didn’t see a listed weight for Jarin, but he had a solid frame and held strong when going for contested catches.
– Great release, explosiveness coming out of his breaks, and he has the top-end speed to stretch defenses vertically.

– Preston is a player they are excited to get on the field for the Panthers.
– Only a freshman, but he already showed good knowledge of the game, especially in his coverage.
– He had a few great interceptions where he read the QB’s eyes very well and jumped the route perfectly.
– Talking to one of the Fillmore coaches, I found out Preston was the state champion in the Junior High 400m dash and a beast on the wrestling mats. Very excited to continue following Preston’s prep career.

Treven Stassines Treven Stassines 6'3" | 170 lbs | ATH Fillmore Central | 2024 NE | 2025 | QB | 6’2″ 155 lbs
– It took Treven and the offense a little bit to get going early, but once they found their groove, Stassines was able to move down the field very well.
– He showed the ability to lead his receivers with his passes and put them in a good spot for only his receiver to make a play on it.
– Treven also displayed nice mobility around the pocket and can throw on the run.
– Hoping to catch Treven/FC at other camps or events to watch him a little more.
