A 6’3 200 pounds long athlete who has size, and speed, he’s mainly used as a Wildcat quarterback and Jet sweep guy, but this upcoming season I anticipate him having a significant expansion of his role.
When you watch him on tape he moves like a long strider. This gets you thinking about what his upside at other positions is. Kaba can be a player who plays both sides of the ball and be recruited as such. Would love for Hillside to explore him at corner and take advantage of his massive size and wingspan.
Kaba already has three offers from Duke, Iowa State, and Boston College. And with his stellar performance this summer in the high-profile camps, his offer list will substantially grow this upcoming season.
Koffa does it all for Union City as a standout player on offense, defense, and special teams. Where he shines is on defense, where he has solid coverage ability, specifically in the slot. Koffa has tremendous upside on the defensive side of the ball for many reasons.
First, he is solid size at 6’0 180 pounds and knows how to his frame to be physical with opposing wide receivers. Secondly, he plays the ball well; he consistently uses his length to alter the catch point and uses his instincts to turn the football over indicative of his two pick-sixes this past season. Lastly, he has smooth hips, he’s able to consistently flip his hips and change direction to keep himself in position to effectively mirror receivers.
Koffa recently earned his first HBCU offer from Morgan State. This will be the first of many and if he keeps improving, I’m confident he will earn an FBS or FCS scholarship.
Hordonik is one of the big anchors on the Don Bosco defensive line. Mainly lines up at one tech or three tech, wherever he lines he is bound to make his presence felt as a run defender. Run defense is the most impressive part of his arsenal as he does the little things well. In terms of maintaining his leverage through plays, gap discipline, and staying square to the line of scrimmage on zone runs.
As a pass rusher, he’s more of a pocket pusher and aims to shrink quarterbacks’ surface area to operate, rather than immediately rushing upfield to get sacks. Pass rushing is the area he can strive to improve the most but in terms of what his role is on the defense, he can play that well.
Horodnik earned his first Division One offer from Saint Anselm University. Playing in one of the toughest high school football conferences in America makes your tape look good. Since this is his first offer as he continues to improve as a pass rusher, his offer list will continue to grow.
Rossetti has much room to improve in an already solid package at linebacker. At 6’1 200 pounds first aspect you notice is how he moves. He is one of the smoother athletes at linebacker whether that be in the middle or on the edge Rossetti shows fluid movement skills on tape.
Secondly, he’s a disciplined player. When it comes to making key tackles in one on one situations or holding down the edge on outside runs. He shows the same fundamentals and the ability to execute these plays on a consistent basis.
Lastly, and most important he has solid plays in coverage. He does well when spot-dropping in zones and being able to make plays on the football when the opportunities present themselves.
Chris just earned his first Division One offer from Sacred Heart. If he can work on his FBI and his burst when playing downhill. His offer total will significantly rise in his senior year.
Highlights
CJ Carter CJ Carter 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Deptford | 2024 NJ can be an ascending prospect but he’s really raw at the position. The Futbol to football convert has only been playing quarterback for two years and lacks the fundamentals to be a top-tier guy, at the moment. However, He has solid tools to work with in terms of a strong arm, solid mobility, and the ability to extend plays when under pressure.
Carter also lacks the size for the position to a be difference-maker. He’s generously listed at 6’0 185 pounds but looks significantly smaller than that on tape. As a result, if I were CJ I would seriously consider reclassing a year to work on his body and all-around game. Once again, CJ has all the tools but he needs a lot of polish, and refinement, and could use another year to develop his body.
