Asher Hale Asher Hale 6’5″ | 300 lbs | OL Saint Paul’s | 2024 State AL has been a pivotal piece of Saint Paul Episcopal’s offensive line the last few seasons, last fall proved to be a big time breakout season for the versatile linemen as his recruitment has really opened up since the end of the year. Hale is a big guy, standing at 6’5 300, Hale uses every bit of his size to dominate opposing defensive linemen in the trenches. Hale has a serious amount of power, bend, and agility that allow him to fluidly move both in pass protection and in the run game- with those skills you can count on him to consistently do his job at a high level all four quarters, which is a huge attribute to his position. As mentioned earlier, Hale has seen his recruitment really open up since last fall- he has received offers Marshall, UAB, North Alabama, and Jacksonville State! Be sure to keep track of him this fall as he heads into a huge senior season, he’s going to be an super reliable OL prospect for years to come!
Carlin Long Carlin Long 6’0″ | 200 lbs | RB Huntsville | 2024 State AL is an explosive running back that has been incredibly productive for Huntsville in the last two years with his back to back thousand yard rushing seasons. Last fall was Long’s best work yet however, in 10 total games Long put up 1425 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns on just 219 carries. Long has terrific vision, quick feet, and an explosive burst that lets him go 0-100 in a matter of seconds- this paired with his size and speed has made him an great offensive weapon out of Huntsville’s backfield. Long plays with a ton of physicality as well, he can break through and step out of tackles with such ease. Recently, Long has seen his recruitment open up a ton, in the last few months he’s added offers from UT Martin, Southeast Missouri State, and Miami (OH)!

Quinton Cooks Quinton Cooks 6’2″ | 185 lbs | LB Loachapoka | 2024 State AL is a really talented OLB that has benefited Loachapoka in a bunch of different ways in their front seven. Cooks is talented on the edge and makes his presence known against the run and pass equally with the way he is able to dominate opposing offenses play after play. Last fall, Cooks had a really productive year- posting up 38 tackles (8 tackles for loss) 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Cooks has a really fast first step that he pairs with a ton of power to make opposing tackles look silly- constantly on tape he is found either leaving them in the dirt, or dust, to go ahead and make big time tackles in the backfield. Cooks pursuit after the ballcarrier really shines on tape as well- he never gets discouraged and plays with maximum effort each play which leads to tackles all over the field.
Jamari Payne Jamari Payne 6’3″ | 255 lbs | DL Loachapoka | 2024 State AL is a talented defensive linemen that has been an absolute star in the trenches the last few seasons for Loachapoka. Payne is a big guy who plays with a ton of speed and ferocity on the defensive line- finding an OL that is up to the task of slowing him down is near impossible- he has shown the ability to get by anyone he’s lined across from. Last fall, Payne had a huge year where he totaled up 61 tackles (27.5 tackles for loss) 6.5 sacks. Payne has shown the ability to be a great pass rusher, while also having the ability to completely shut down the run. As seen in his stats, Payne’s ability to get into the backfield is second to none- he eats up space in lanes with his size, gets great penetration immediately after the snap, and wraps up the ball carrier with such ease. Recently, Payne has added offers from Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, and Appalachian State!
