2025 5'7 185 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='193647' first='Leon' last='Clark'] - Maury

With his elite performance on and off the field last Fall, [player_tooltip player_id='193647' first='Leon' last='Clark'] established himself as one of the most coveted ball carriers in VA's 2025 Class. The Fall of 2022 was most definitely Clark's breakout season, and he has the numbers to back it up. Clark rushed for 1,259 yards, 10 TDs, and a jaw-dropping 6.9 yards per carry. His agility, lateral quickness, and speed are all superb, making him an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. Since last year, he earned 3 star recruitment status as a result of his dominance, he also received D1 offers from Temple, UMass, BC, and many others. Clark will also attend multiple prospect camps this Summer including the Rivals Camp Series in New Jersey. Power five conference scouts must take [player_tooltip player_id='193647' first='Leon' last='Clark']'s recruitment seriously, because he possesses eye-opening potential at the next level.

2025 5'7 150 RB/ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='358211' first='Marcus' last='Ferguson'] - Unity Reed

[player_tooltip player_id='358211' first='Marcus' last='Ferguson'] is a stellar running back, but his all-around athleticism makes him a terror on both sides of the ball at this level. His well-roundedness is truly the most exciting part about his game, and there's no doubting his exciting future to come at the D1 level. Ferguson found comfort in the defensive secondary last season as a DB. His close out speed combined with his tackling ability yielded phenomenal results on the field, and it's really exciting to think about how he will perform in 2023. [player_tooltip player_id='358211' first='Marcus' last='Ferguson'] continues to climb the recruitment ladder with efficiency, and he's absolutely one of the most exciting overall prospects to watch in the Class of 2025.

2025 5'10 215 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='193635' first='Brandon' last='Nesbit Jr'] - Oscar Smith

[player_tooltip player_id='193635' first='Brandon' last='Nesbit Jr'] runs with a lot of toughness and physicality. His low center of gravity makes him even more difficult to take down, and that's on top of the fact that he's just a truly relentless running back. Nesbit refuses to go down on first contact, and that's a huge reason why his yards after contact numbers were so exponentially high as well. It's also the reason that his offense is able to run him in the wildcat formation. [player_tooltip player_id='193635' first='Brandon' last='Nesbit Jr'] was recently invited to the Rivals Camp Series in New Jersey, in light of the fact that he recently received his 6th D1 offer from ECU. He's absolutely a top tier prospect in the Chesapeake area, therefore scouts must treat his recruitment as such.

2025 5'11 185 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='306236' first='Jackson' last='Mccarter'] - Patriot

[player_tooltip player_id='306236' first='Jackson' last='Mccarter'] is the best pass catching running back on this list. He's still no slouch when carrying the ball, however, his route running prowess and catching ability are so elite that it really separates him from a lot of recruits. McCarter ran the ball 108 times for 816 yards and 12 TDs. While he only made 3 total receptions in the passing game, he managed to accumulate 100 yards receiving with those minimal touches. [player_tooltip player_id='306236' first='Jackson' last='Mccarter']'s efficiency is absolutely off the charts, and I believe he is in a premier position to have a huge year in 2023. He was also invited to the Auburn Elite Camp this month. Local scouts must know the name [player_tooltip player_id='306236' first='Jackson' last='Mccarter'] by now.

2025 5'3 130 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='321334' first='Keon' last='Batts'] - Warwick

[player_tooltip player_id='321334' first='Keon' last='Batts'] performed sensationally well last season, and he demonstrated that his versatility takes Warwick's offense to another level. He's an extremely underestimated blocker for his size, and he's able to impact plays in many different ways even without the ball. Batts is also a playmaker on defense, but my prediction is that he thrives most in the backfield at the running back position. His shiftiness, speed, and physicality cannot be ignored, and it's clear that [player_tooltip player_id='321334' first='Keon' last='Batts'] will have a lot to do with the success of Warwick's program in the neat future. In my opinion, he will be an All-Conference level player in 2023.
