The Villanova commit was not to be denied victory for Patriot Thursday night. He carried the Pioneers to a big district win over Gainesville, rushing for 202 yards and three touchdowns. Crazy to see it on tape that he is better than last year but if you watched him against Gainesville you know that is the case. The workhorse back for Coach Finnerty’s squad has not slowed down one bit in his final season.

Patriot sure looks like they are ready to contend for the Class 6 State gold with their big win over Westfield last Friday. McCarter picked up 218 yards on the ground against the Bulldogs, looking like he hasn’t missed a beat from his all conference junior season. He had 5 touchdown runs once again showing why Villanova Wildcats are rejoicing that he announced his commitment to them back in the spring. Look out for the Pioneers and the Cedar Run District, based on week 0, they appear to have four teams that are playoff worthy.

The Villanova Wildcats will be where this two sport all state star Jackson McCarter will go next. Patriot all-purpose back Jackson McCarter made it official this past week when he announced his commitment to the FCS powerhouse.
With over 20 plus offers and more potentially coming, McCarter will be playing in the highly regarded CAA conference in 2025.

Staying in the same conference William & Mary also offered Patriot all world back Jackson McCarter, that was his second division 1 offer as well. The Pioneers workhorse had just earlier today picked up an offer from UNH, now that the floodgates have opened for him, expect his offers to grow significantly. McCarter is a game changing type of player and is one of the fastest kids in the state of Virginia, he will make some fan base very happy with his decision.

Patriot’s Jackson McCarter is one of the fastest athletes in the commonwealth and is already on a number of FBS schools radar. The Pioneers must be smarting from their early playoff exit but it was not because of this man. One of the leading rushers in Virginia, McCarter is as explosive as they come, I saw his speed up close when he gashed Gar-Field back in October. A handful of FBS level schools have come calling, where he ends up only time will tell.

Part of a loaded 2025 class McCarter has been as advertised for the Pioneers, leading the conference in rushing yards by a wide margin. He is a special talent with track speed out on the football field. Their rematch against crosstown rival Battlefield is once again must see football, all of Haymarket, Virginia may be in attendance for this one. McCarter knows the Bobcats will be keying on him as most teams have tried to do all year. He has the speed and vision though if one defender errors, he can take it to the house.

The District leading rusher was at it again Friday night in Patriot’s punishing win over Gar-Field. The junior had 4 total touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 Kickoff return) to continue on his record setting pace. It was my first time watching him live and he did not disappoint, on his first carry of the game he showed off his track speed with a 75 yard touchdown gallup. Rushing for 249 yards total against a very competent Gar-Field defense, McCarter showed me why so many FBS schools are starting to call for his services, he is a division 1 talent. Should be a fun journey for him and his teammates the rest of the way, they have a huge showdown with cross-town rival Battlefield this week.

Excited to watch this young man carry the football for the first time in person, I have seen and heard nothing but good things. The conference leader in rushing yards, McCarter has broken his own school records this season as he has gashed multiple defenses and driven coordinators crazy. It is fun to watchi his highlights tape, when you do, you know he is not just a one trick pony, the junior has tremendous vision. Running track for the Pioneers as well, you can see his track speed on display on each long distant run he breaks in the open for a touchdown. He boast a 3.5 GPA and has garnered the attention of multiple FBS schools including Virginia Tech, James Madison and Ohio University. He will be a division 1 football player come Fall 2025.

Just last week Jackson McCarter had set a school record for rushing yards, so what did he do this week you might ask? Answer he toppled his own school record with 348 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns! You have got to be kidding me with this performance, week in and week out McCarter is shattering his own records, he cannot be stopped. What makes this more worthy of a game ball is the opponent he did this too. Gainesville had come into this contest undefeated and quite frankly not really tested either, Patriot sure did humble them behind McCarter’s historic night.
