Here were the positional MVPs of the event:
OVERALL MORNING MVP
Mothudi was the Overall MVP at the National Preps Showcase in Las Vegas back in February and followed it up with another standout performance.
He is already a national recruit who has college level size and frame. He was the second fastest player in the morning session and his lateral movement is impressive.
Mothudi was a standout when I saw him at the Under Armour Camp and I’m not surprised to see him racking up accolades. He is visiting Oregon, Oregon State, Utah and Washington in June.
RUNNING BACK MVP
LINEBACKER MVP
Johnson is a guy who could be a safety in certain systems or come up and play linebacker.
He plays soccer and is a good athlete. He needs to add a little size if he wants to be a linebacker at the next level, but he has the agility and fluidity college coaches like.
OFFENSIVE LINE MVP
Hill is a fast rising class of 2025 offensive lineman with offers from Arizona State, Miami and Boston College this month alone.
He has the ability to play guard or tackle and his footwork is very good. He is a 4.33 GPA guy who is also a thrower on the track team.
DEFENSIVE LINE MVP
Topui got rave reviews at Mater Dei’s college showcase last week and followed that with an impressive performance at this showcase.
He is already 330 pounds and could drop a little weight, but he is already a national recruit. He reportedly dominated the one-on-one period at multiple positions. Topui could easily be the top player in California’s 2026 class shortly.
OVERALL AFTERNOON MVP
Degraaf stood out at the Under Armour Camp and was a matchup nightmare for the defensive backs in the one-on-one period.
He is a better route runner than most tight ends and is bigger than a traditional receiver. Degraaf locked in an official visit with Michigan State shortly after the event.
Highlights
QUARTERBACK MVP
David was excellent on the field last fall and has shown rapid improvement this offseason.
He knows when to put air under the ball and when to use his arm strength to fire it into a tight window. He is a real 6-foot-5 and BYU offered him right after the showcase.
RECEIVER/TIGHT END MVP
I saw Swanson in a regional championship game last year and he is an advanced route runner with the strength to block when needed.
He looks bigger than when I last saw him and according to reports, he was being considered for the overall MVP spot at the showcase.
Swanson narrowed down his list of schools to five and I expect BYU to be a favorite to land him.
DEFENSIVE BACK MVP
Doss is a lengthy defensive back from Antelope Valley who can play corner or safety.
He projects as a safety at the next level and has room to gain size even though he is entering his senior year.
Doss has eight offers with Utah State being the most recent.
