The Redzone Elite national 7v7 tournament is a massive event where athletes traveled from all over the country to showcase their talents while fighting for the championship title.
There were more than a few new faces and names in attendance for the two-day event. Players like Blake Bishop (2026) from Dakota Ridge, Mason Moreno (2024) from Columbine, and Kole Mathis (2024) from Fairview made an introduction to the radar by standing out during the tournament.
This article will briefly examine five radar newcomers who had impressive showings on Sunday at the Redzone Elite 7v7 tournament.
Izaiah Phelps Izaiah Phelps 5'11" | WR Bear Creek | 2024 CO (2024) is not a true radar newcomer, but he is an overlooked prospect with legitimate potential. The Bear Creek receiver is a solid route runner who does a good job at moving defenders with his release and stem. He had an impressive performance with the Ducks7v7 club as a member of one of the Colorado teams to reach the semifinals. Phelps is a player worthy of being on the prospect boards, especially by in-state schools.
Kellan Brockway (2024) is a two-way athlete at Centaurus who ran with the Ducks7v7 club team. He has a long frame and does a solid job playing in coverage as a defensive back. His reach gives him an advantage when playing through the hands of the receiver to disrupt the catch. Brockway is a 6-foot-3 athlete with good speed and awareness, giving him the necessary qualities of a college recruit.
Angelo Thomas (2024) is a wide receiver from Widefield who ran with the 719 Springs Elite program, which helped him strengthen his rapport with his quarterback. He is a strong runner with reliable hands, making him a trustworthy target in the passing game. His competitive mindset and physical playing style make him a scrappy receiver, ideal for a college program looking for a potential slot guy. Thomas quickly became a must-watch player during the tournament, making him one to add to the radar.
JayJay Martinez (2025) is another two-way athlete from Doherty who played for the Ducks7v7 program. His performance during the weekend caught the attention of many onlookers. He proved himself to be a playmaker on offense and defense by using his skills to score touchdowns and snag interceptions. Martinez is an explosive athlete with exceptional speed, landing him on the prospect radar.
Atticus Tillman Atticus Tillman 6'1" | ATH Arvada West | 2026 CO (2026) is a young player who saw varsity time from Arvada West before joining the Ducks7v7 program this club season. Tillman played safety for one of the 18U squads during the tournament, showing he has what it takes to run with the upperclassmen. He has good size, athleticism, and instincts that put him ahead of the curve when it comes to other players in his class. Tillman has a bright future ahead of him, making him a name to learn early.
