The annual event is held for class of 2024 prospects only and it was well represented. Colleges from Pennsylvania, Virgnia, Maryland and D.C had staff on hand to witness some of the best prospects in all of Virginia. Coach Robinette and his staff did a great job with the whole set up and the showcase was a big success. I have listed below a few players who caught my attention:
Been high on this young man for a bit and it’s time we start to put some respect on his name! Evans was lights out during the 1 on 1 drills pinpointing his targets on nearly every throw he had. When you watch him work on his craft you should not be surprised he did so well, after all he only threw for over 60 touchdowns last year. The Virginia player of the year made another statement with his outing, even finding reliable targets who do not play for his state champion squad Freedom. While we have profiled the Freedom Eagles often and understandably with the ridiculous amount of talent they have, its time to recognize this signal caller as one of the elites.
Highlights
One of the first kids to stand out upon my arrival was repping Forest Park well, Andrew Perry Andrew Perry 6’3″ | 210 lbs | DL Forest Park Woodbridge Va | 2024 VA is a name you will not forget come this fall. A stud multi position star for the home squad, Perry was very impressive especially during the 1 on 1 drills against the offensive lineman. Constantly facing some of the best in the state, Perry held his ground and had all the coaches on sight buzzing. The Bruins all district defensive end and tight end left the evening with offers from Stevenson University and Emory & Henry College, and trust me more are coming soon.
Blake Mcnabb
Blake Mcnabb
A number of people I have spoken too believe if any squad is going to compete with Freedom this year it will be Patriot, if true McNabb is key source to get them their! The Pioneers have a two way star on their hands with this young man and Wednesday evening he showed out. Going up against elite defensive backs from across the state, you can see why he is going to be a matchup nightmare this fall. I listed him as an athlete because he is excellent at receiver, linebacker and tight end too, I think his bet in college maybe on the outside linebacker. Another gentleman who came away from the evening with an offer from Stevenson University, McNabb is in for a big season for 2023.

Denzel Lambert
Denzel Lambert
We have to talk about Lambert’s evening as he represented the Woodbridge Vikings with pride and joy. Been a fan of this kid’s talent for a minute and was thrilled to see him perform the way he did at the showcase. Lambert is a 6’3 receiver who runs like a deer with his 40 just under 4.6, no surprise that he has many Division 2 and FCS coaches vying for his services. He too came away with an offer from Stevenson University and Morgan State who are hoping he keeps his talents in the DMV.
Walter Hughes
Walter Hughes
If you do not know about one of the best lineman in the country you will soon, yes Hughes is that good and he displayed all his talents Wednesday. Hughes dominated the one on one drills not allowing one sack or one pressure, if you have watched him play you should not be surprised. Many of the offensive lineman were impressive, but it was this young man who in my opinion helped himself the most. Stevenson University wisely offered him on the spot, but expect more FCS and FBS schools to come calling soon. If not then you will have missed out on the best center in the state.
