For some of New York’s top guys, the opportunity to transfer, reclassify, or use post-graduate programs is heavily restricted compared to other states, sometimes limiting the player movement we see from states with a long, rich history of being heavily recruited. Some of these kids had legit offers already and are looking to take that jump, while some are still searching for their opportunity, and another year of training and development could get them there. While most of these players are headed out of state, it was good to see their development over the years, and you can do nothing but commend them for betting on themselves. Check out the first article about transfers, and PG commits here. Just a side note, players’ schools listed may not be accurate at the time of posting. It takes time to coordinate with scouts of each state and transfer players across sites.
Gjok Dedvukaj was one of the most prolific wide receivers in the state last fall and was the only player in our Top 50 who did not sign a D1 NLI. That was not for a lack of offers ad Dedvukaj’s recruitment got hot over the winter. Dedvukaj will bypass the college game this and instead head to the Salisbury School for a post grad year in hopes of further developing his recruitment and he should be one of the hottest names in Connecticut come this fall.

Xavier McEntire Jr will move from Sweet Home in Western New York down south to Georgia where he will play at Paulding County High. McEntire Jr is a athlete to watch this fall as he takes on some really talented teams and players in Georgia.
Nico Andrews Nico Andrews 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR Erasmus Hall | 2023 State NY will make a similar move to another guy on this list with a reclassify and transfer to Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania. Andrews was a really talented receiver and returner for a dangerous Erasmus Hall team but in a run heavy offense and a very deep playmaker group was limited in opportunities. The reclass and transfer gives Andrews a chance to put a big season on tape and take his skills to a higher level of college football.
Jaylin Lewis Jaylin Lewis 6’4″ | 195 lbs | ATH Christ The King | 2023 NY , a really talented athlete from Christ The King will do some post grad work at East Coast Prep. Christ the King has a ridiculous group of WRs/CBs last season limiting Lewis’ opportunities but Lewis is a really quick and strong athlete who looks to make an impression with another fall of ball.
