Short disclaimer, when prospects move states, they get transferred between PrepRedzone sites, which does take some time due to the admin process of it all. For that reason, some of these players are still listed as attending their old schools. However, with some players (Partlow + Houston) the process has been completed, and they have been added to rankings. So in due time, players that are unranked and not on the watchlist will eventually be placed there.
Check out what New York Players are making moves.
Ethan Fry Ethan Fry 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Trinity-Pawling | 2024 State NY , the strong-arm quarterback out of Fredonia will transfer and play for Trinity-Pawling while also reclassifying into the class of 2024. Trinity-Pawling, the only New York school in the Founders league, has a history of helping post-grad players take a step up in competition and kickstart their recruitment. I would not expect that to change with Fry, who has all the tools you want in the modern day quarterback.
Rafferty McSweeney Rafferty McSweeney 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Avon Old Farms Ct. | 2025 State NewE will reclassify and transfer after multiple successful seasons at Rye. McSweeney, a wide receiver with elite speed and great production on varsity will take a huge step to Avon Old Farms in Connecticut which consistently provides D1 schools with the top recruits in New England. McSweeney will also reclassify to 2025 but should be in store for a big season with Avon Old Farms quarterback and Georgia commit Ryan Puglisi Ryan Puglisi 6’3″ | 205 lbs | QB Avon Old Farms | 2024 State NewE .
Cureem Hathcock was a very talented running back for AA state champions Bennett, but with several other top playmakers on the team he never had a chance to be the workhorse for their team. Hathcock is taking a post-grad year and moving to Palmetto Prep.
Jeremy Thompson Jr, a top playmaker from Western New York will take a post-grad year at Palmetto Prep in South Carolina as he looks to kickstart his recruitment after a couple solid seasons and some really solid tape on boht sides of the ball.
Highlights
Cameron Warbuton leaves New York as one of the most accomplished back we have seen. Warburton was unstoppable with the ball for Cheektowaga but the low level of competition led to limited opportunity to play at the next level. Warburton will take a post grad year and play for Palmetto Prep and look to prove he can do it against better competition and earn some opportunities at the next level.
One of the biggest names on this list Jourdin Houston Jourdin Houston 6’1″ | 190 lbs | WR St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE leaves Christ the King and moves out of state to St. Thomas More in Connecticut. Houston instantly became one of the top players in the New England area as seen by his updated ranking and completed transfer. Houston moves to a program in St. Thomas More that has had a ton of recent success developing players for the next level.
Na’eem Gladding, one of NYCHSFL’s most dangerous playmakers is moving to Stonebridge in Virginia where he looks to showcase his skillset in a different area of the country. Gladding already has some local offers from when he played in New York but his recruitment should reach plenty of new schools this fall.
Highlights
Tyler Partlow Tyler Partlow 6’4″ | 280 lbs | DL St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE , another top 2025 prospect followed teammate Houston to St. Thomas More where not only has there been a ton of top talent recently but will join former New York star Shaun Ayers Shaun Ayers 6’4″ | 280 lbs | DL St. Thomas More | 2024 State NewE on the defensive line. Partlow and Ayers form a scary NY duo for St. Thomas More.
Tyler Davis Tyler Davis 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL Erasmus Hall | 2025 State NY , another Christ the King transfer, will go to the public schools and play for Erasmus Hall of the PSAL. Davis ends up in a really good situation at Erasmus Hall which has a long history of developing really quality defensive lineman, including a current group of three class of 24′ guys that Davis can also learn from. Davis was already one of the most intriguing 25′ players in this class and the move to E-Hall will be exciting for Davis’ future.
The last Christ the King transfer on this list, Arinze Maijeh Arinze Maijeh 6’1″ | 260 lbs | DL Canarsie Highschool | 2024 State NY will be playing for Canarsie in the PSAL next season. Canarsie loses Dillan Fontus Dillan Fontus 6’5″ | 260 lbs | DL Canarsie | 2023 State NY to Maryland and while there were questions about who would replace him, Maijeh opting to head the public school route was the answer Canarsie got lucky with. Maijeh played alongside some really quality defensive lineman for Christ the King but should shine for Canarsie as they rely on him in the trenches.
Highlights
Timothy Longo Timothy Longo 5’9″ | 180 lbs | WR St. Anthony’s | 2023 NewE was a part of a very deep wide receiver group for Catholic School State Champions St. Anthony’s, due to limited opportunities behind top prospects of St. Anthony’s Longo decided to reclassify and attend Milford Academy where he will play with another incredible quarterback in Van Weber Van Weber 6’3″ | QB Rutherford | 2023 NewE after showcasing very strong tape with New York’s player of the year Dante Torres Dante Torres 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB St. Anthony’s | 2023 State NY .
Highlights
Jahmir Pitcher Jahmir Pitcher 5’11” | 200 lbs | RB Suffield Academy | 2025 State NewE was one of my favorite players in New York in the class of 2024, he was already the top RB in the state and I really thought he was going to be the player who shocked everyone his final season and made it into the top five. However, the offers and interest from schools seemed shockingly low so I actually love this move for Pitcher. He will reclassify and transfer to Suffield Academy in Connecticut and move to the class of 25′ and instantly become one of the top players in the New England area.
Highlights
CBA-Albany loses one star player but they may have gotten lucky and found the right prospect to replace that production. Jake Iacobaccio Jake Iacobaccio 5’11” | 180 lbs | ATH CBA-Albany | 2024 State NY who was a do-it-all QB/RB/S/ATH for Shaker and two-time all purpose player of the year in Section II AA is headed from Shaker to CBA-Albany. Iacobaccio already has one of the most impressive careers of any 24′ in New York and it will be very exciting to see him in a CBA-Albany uniform this fall.
Highlights
Jesse Giddings Jesse Giddings 6’3″ | 295 lbs | OL Milton Academy | 2026 State NewE was a player whose tape I loved and I could not wait to get him involved in the rankings. However, at Beekmantown in Section XII Giddings likely knew that recruitment opportunities would be tough to come by. Giddings is transferring to Milton Academy in Massachusetts. I also believe Giddings will be reclassifying to 2026 which is a big deal. Three more seasons of high level football and development will be huge for Giddings who already has the size at 6’3 325lbs. Going from Section XII which has limited football opportunities to a top program in New England is huge for Giddings.
