Lane Clemenhagen
Lane Clemenhagen
Clemenhagen is another small school star that people should really get to know. The senior has a dominate season at the hybrid safety/linebacker spot for Kendrick on his way to first team all state honors. Clemenhagen shows really good short area quickness that allows him to get to the football from multiple spots on the field. What we like about Clemenhagen is that he is a violent finisher constantly making big tackles all over the football field. He has natural instincts that allows him to process quickly and make plays almost instantly it seems. He has good lateral speed as well and is able to really shed blockers quickly and then react to ever changing movement from the offense. Clemenhagen has coverage ability as he is more of a tweener right now which projects him as more of a safety at the next level. He is going to have a monster senior season for Kendrick and will be another all state player again.
Troy Smith
Troy Smith
Smith is your prototypical tackling machine with a nose for the football that is really unmatched. As a junior he stuffed the stat sheet with 88 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three INTs and four forced fumbles. Those are monster number regardless of classification, and with his ability to be in the right spot at the right time we are expecting more of the same for this Camas County prospect. He has great instincts that allows him to read and react to plays to go along with a really high football IQ. He is a sure tackler that doesnt seem to miss very often and plays with extreme confidence. He is able to really run all over the field and shows up in the most important times in the game. If you need a big stop on defense than Smith is going to be one of the players that you go to. He is ready to take over the 1A classification this year and we would be surprised if he passed the 100 tackle mark this season.
Kaden Zimmer
Kaden Zimmer
Zimmer is a dominant wide receiver on his way to a 2nd team all state selection. He has the ability to beat defenses over the top or catch the underneath routes making people miss all the way to the endzone. He shows the ability to really get in and out of his break with his route running ability. He can run all the routes on the route tree while maintaining his speed. He has natural pass catching hands that seem to really pluck the football out of the air with ease. What we liked the most about him is his competitiveness where he is always competing for the football. He is a tough player that plays with a ton of passion and confidence. It wont be a surprise to seem him in the first team all state category next season.
