Mid-Southern Conference 2024’s: Watch List

The Mid-Southern Conference includes the following teams: Charlestown, Brownstown Central, North Harrison, Silver Creek, Corydon Central, Salem, Scottsburg, and Eastern (Pekin). The Mid-Southern Conference has some hidden gems that are deserving more attention. College teams searching for great talent need to check out these three young men highlighted in this article. Clay had an exceptional season last year earning him All-Mid Southern Conference Honors. He threw for 1,769 yards, with a 54.2% completion percentage, 20 TDs, and 12 INTs. Clay was a problem on the ground as well. He carried the ball 166 times for 1,085 yards and 21 TDs. This young man is an absolute weapon for the Charlestown Pirates. Clay is a lefty gunslinger who is not afraid to run right through his opponents. His weapons through the air is his arm strength with great ball placement . His speed, agility, and strength make him an issue in the run game. Langdon was recognized last year for his great efforts on defense after being named All-Mid Southern Conference CB. Defensively, he had 12 solo tackles, 5 assists, 17 total, and 2 INTs. He is a fierce competitor on defense challenging every pass thrown his way. He is a menace to opposing wide receivers while disrupting every pass that comes his way. Offensively, he had 32 receptions, 390 yards, and 4 TDs. Langdon shows up in a pivotal role in the slot on offense while taking short and intermediate passes to the house. [player_tooltip player_id='539975' first='Wyatt' last='Crawford'] is a rising talent emerging from Scottsburg High School. In only six games, Wyatt carried the ball 84 times for 398 yards last season and I anticipate those numbers to increase this year. He has already caught our eye at the most recent Prep Redzone Camp. Turn on the film and watch Wyatt pinball himself off of his opponents. It will take several defenders to bring this young man down. You will not find Wyatt looking to be fancy when he's running over defenders. Wyatt is a down hill runner that loves punishing defenders.
