16 Long Beach, Inland Empire and Orange County teams gathered at Millikan High for the second annual Tournament of Champions last Saturday.

For the second consecutive season, St. John Bosco won the tournament.

Here is a look at the winning team and several players who stood out from the event according to multiple reports.

ST. JOHN BOSCO

St. John Bosco beat Centennial in the semifinals and Sierra Canyon in the championship game to take home the trophy.

The Braves have a battle going on between two very good quarterbacks in senior [player_tooltip player_id='115455' first='Caleb' last='Sanchez'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='212212' first='Ashton' last='Pannell'].

[player_tooltip player_id='209113' first='Madden' last='Williams'] was the key receiver for the Braves with 9 touchdown receptions and around 4-5 catches per game. Other receivers that played well according to reports were [player_tooltip player_id='115470' first='Tommy' last='Maher'] and [player_tooltip player_id='283605' first='Daniel' last='Odom']. Jeremy Lenore played well at running back and another quarterback who played alongside Sanchez and Pannell was Matai Fuavia.

Bosco's defense is one of the best in the nation. The usual standout names performed well like [player_tooltip player_id='115443' first='Kyngstonn' last='Viliamu-Asa'], [player_tooltip player_id='115433' first='Peyton' last='Woodyard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='115432' first='Marcelles' last='Williams']. [player_tooltip player_id='273626' first='Tamal' last='Johnson'] had a pair of interceptions and Serra transfer [player_tooltip player_id='115452' first='Jason' last='Mitchell'] shined in moments. [player_tooltip player_id='273572' first='Khmori' last='House'] is a physical linebacker that will make teams question throwing short routes in passing league.

https://twitter.com/MillikanHSFB/status/1660077207447044096?s=20

https://twitter.com/GregBiggins/status/1660039714861363200?s=20

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Sierra Canyon had a very strong showing last Saturday, particularly USC commit [player_tooltip player_id='398422' first='Xavier' last='Jordan']. His fellow receiver [player_tooltip player_id='683607' first='Kwazi' last='Gilmer'] also was a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams. The projected quarterback for the Trailblazers is Notre Dame transfer [player_tooltip player_id='282687' first='Wyatt' last='Becker'].

https://twitter.com/mikehuntley63/status/1642632654662303744?s=20

Centennial was a team that people were talking about after the event, particularly quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='406636' first='Husan' last='Longstreet']. One reporter I talked to believed that Longstreet was the best quarterback at the event. [player_tooltip player_id='406637' first='Cory' last='Butler'] is a receiver I really like for Centennial. Santa Margarita transfer [player_tooltip player_id='282775' first='LaRue' last='Zamorano'] impressed scouts and [player_tooltip player_id='595826' first='Tayten' last='Beyer'] is a defensive back I am high on.

https://twitter.com/GregBiggins/status/1660029265315000321?s=20

Host Millikan has a new quarterback in St. John Bosco transfer [player_tooltip player_id='282737' first='JP' last='Mialovski']. Mialovski has offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Ole Miss and San Jose State. [player_tooltip player_id='115471' first='Ryan' last='Pellum'] is showing he's a top receiver in the class with a strong offseason. He can create separation with his speed and can make plays after the catch. [player_tooltip player_id='398433' first='Gregory' last='McClendon'] will be another top target for Millikan this season with 9 offers.

https://twitter.com/562sports/status/1660030533316001792?s=20

Warren of Downey was there with some familiar faces standing out. Sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='282717' first='Madden' last='Iamaleava'] is taking over at quarterback for his brother who is now at Tennessee. His top target will be [player_tooltip player_id='147762' first='Jordan' last='Ross'], who has 11 offers and is visiting Michigan State in early June. His sophomore brother [player_tooltip player_id='780272' first='Jalen' last='Ross'] will be a big factor for Warren this year as well.

https://twitter.com/Jordan__Ross1/status/1660462692006760455?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='115460' first='Anthony' last='Wolter'] is back at quarterback for St. Bonaventure after a strong junior season. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='976866' first='Drew' last='Cofield'] is one of the most underrated junior defensive backs in Southern California and had four interceptions last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='683641' first='Mason' last='York'] of Edison is a receiver with track level speed and an offer from Alabama Birmingham. He had 870 yards with 9 touchdowns last season for the Chargers.
