Butler signed with Arizona State during the first NSD, and is a big time get for the Sun Devils as he has plenty of other schools after him. He is explosive out of the slot, flashes exceptional hands when making contested catches and is an elite route runner with good twitch, breaking abilities and the ability to make people miss in the open field after the catch as well. A truly twitchy and explosive play-maker, he was another 10 offer guy before signing with the Big-12 champs, and checks into our rankings as a top 10 receiver in his class in a loaded year for the position across California.

Centennial of Corona receiver Cory Butler Cory Butler 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Centennial | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Arizona State on Sunday.

Butler caught 51 passes for 837 yards with six touchdowns last season for Centennial and led the team in receiving.

He projects as a slot receiver at the next level due to his speed and ability to make plays after the catch.

Butler chose Arizona State over nine other schools that offered him including BYU, Oregon and Utah. He is the seventh player from California in Arizona State’s 2025 recruiting class.

Centennial of Corona receiver Cory Butler Cory Butler 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Centennial | 2025 State CA was offered by Boise State last Thursday.

Butler was the leading receiver for Centennial last season with 837 yards on 51 receptions and six touchdowns.

Boise State is the first school to offer Butler since the end of the season but he holds some major offers from last spring like Fresno State, BYU and Colorado among others.
