Damian Kribs
Damian Kribs is not your ordinary QB. The tall, lengthy runner could pass the ball well, but may be more impressive as a runner. As he threw for 771 yards in 2022, he surpassed that mark running the ball with 800 rushing yards. With 14 total touchdowns to go with it, you can see why he can have such a big impact on the field.
Coming from Passaic Valley, Damien is a hard runner to stop once he gets going. He know when it’s time to tuck it and run, and he’s able to use his agility and lower his shoulder to continue along his path. Not a completely crisp thrower yet, Damien has a lot of potential to turn into a great down field thrower. He is able to put the ball where it needs to be, but definitely has more power left behind that arm. Passaic Valley went 6-4 in 2022, but expect them to be in contention for the division this fall.
A’Meire Simpson
A’Meire Simpson
A’Meire Simpson may be the most impressive defender returning from this division. A’Meire was very mobile on the defensive side of the ball as he lined up as a defensive end and linebacker in 2022. While he made his biggest impact off of the edge, A’Meire tormented QBs as a ferocious pass rusher. Once he was in the backfield there was no chance the QB was getting away from his grasp, as he was able to bring the QB to the ground 6 times last season.
With his longer reach A’Meire was able to reel in runners and rip them to the ground whenever they tried to run past him. With 46 total tackles on the season, A’Meire was even able to force two fumbles. A true talent for years to come, don’t be surprised if you see A’Meire hit double digits in the sack column this upcoming season.
Justin Horowitz
Justin Horowitz
Justin Horowitz lined up as a linebacker for Millburn in 2022. Returning for his senior year, he is sure to continue the success he had the prior season. Earning first team all division at the linebacker position, Justin was able to accumulate a staggering 86.5 total tackles. On top of that, he was able to force two fumbles and make 5.5 of those tackles in the backfield. A force for Millburn, look for Justin to have another successful season this fall.
