Phillips plays with relentless intensity- he has a burst off the line of scrimmage that puts offensive linemen on their heels, utilizes his hands effectively to disengage from blocks and disrupt the pocket, and consistently applies heavy pressure on quarterbacks. When he gets into the backfield, you can count on Phillips to deliver bone-jarring hits to the quarterback, using his power and aggression to make a statement. Cooks has a great ability at wrapping up ball carriers with precision-making him a reliable tackler and a player you can count on to make plays all four quarters. In addition to that, Cooks excels at stopping plays in the open field- doesn't let the ball carrier slip by and is found making tackles all over the field. Cooks' reliable presence on the field gives confidence to his teammates and coaches and consistently makes him a player you need to be on the lookout for on offense. Every year Weaver has played at Andalusia he's made an impact, but last fall may have been his best year yet. Last year, Weaver ended up recording 77 total (18 tackles for loss) 3.5 sacks, 3 interceptions. With his impressive speed and vision, Weaver flies all around the field to make plays. No matter where he starts off lined up, he's going to figure out where the ball is going and what he needs to do to make a play. Weaver is also super versatile, his speed paired up with his ability to not only take down the ball carrier, but to make plays against the pass in coverage as well separates him from most.
