Dating back to early February of this year, I had the pleasure of watching Pittsburgh Central Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='452962' first='Jy'Aire' last='Walls'] for the second time in a 7v7 setting, first time seeing Armstrong's [player_tooltip player_id='388094' first='Colt' last='Sprankle'] at the same event. The tournament was special top to bottom, yet there might've not been two more impressive quarterback performances outside of the two mentioned above. It was perfect timing, I was in need of watching both Western PA passers work up close, all in an effort to better represent them on the site. Now, I get the pleasure of watching both under a microscope for the second time in as many months, a lot closer to home too! I've got a feeling that I'm way off on Walls' ranking, he's already expected to jump next update. Another impressive showing could have me screaming his name to college coaches around the East Coast, possibly even a top-ten ranking. Camp performances alone don't hold that much weight, in Walls' case, he's built enough momentum to justify the move.

[player_tooltip player_id='388094' first='Colt' last='Sprankle'] might be the highest-ranking passer at the event. We still have time to see who signs up, but it'll be tough for a passer to come in that I like more than [player_tooltip player_id='388094' first='Colt' last='Sprankle']. He's got the arm talent, consistency, and coachability to impress us all at this event. He's a heavy favorite for MVP but as everyone knows, any QB on this list can take home that honor.

The coaches present are also frequent PRZ workers, I imagine [player_tooltip player_id='142832' first='Jack' last='Riffle']'s game has stuck with many coaches that do attend. His tape is enough to garner great first impressions. Riffle will be back to try and win QB MVP, more importantly though, to wow the many D2 coaches in attendance, as well as myself and other scouts. I'm the eye for many FCS/FBS programs interested in PA QBs, I want nothing more than to talk this young man up. I'm excited to throw away the u0022Underratedu0022 label of the Fleetwood passer.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64474d3d3330b"} /-->

Here's a freshman passer that is new to the PRZ scene, one whose skill set I'm excited about. You've got a program that can boast recent quarterback success. Add on a freshman passer with a phenomenal build, you quickly understand why PA scouts are excited about the young man's potential. [player_tooltip player_id='667958' first='Patrick' last='Smith'] placed just outside the top ten after a look at his freshman highlights. A modest debut, I could have easily placed Smith anywhere between 8-11. The multi-sport prospect produced at Mt. Lebanon beyond what was expected of him. He's a playmaker with the ball in his hands, a legitimate dual-threat passer whose combine scores will draw a ton of attention. He's making the trip out to work, I'll be sure to put him on the map. I'm not positive Smith won't participate at linebacker if I'm being honest, he's equally impressive at this position as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='600174' first='Jackson' last='Solley'] is a watchlist quarterback whose off-season reps in 7v7 settings have got me excited for the Fall. King of Prussia and Upper Merion fall under my umbrella, so I expect to see quite a bit of Jackson's game in years to come. This event will carry the first impression. PA Swag 7v7 QB stands at 6'1, 160-pounds, there isn't much tape to speak of which explains why we have yet to rank Solley among his 2026 peers. No shame in waiting behind [player_tooltip player_id='248229' first='Zayd' last='Etheridge'], Solley should get reps this coming Fall. Nothing will matter more than the tape he puts out in the Fall, yet his performance in this one will go a long way in terms of future rank placement. I'm excited to learn more about the young man.

[player_tooltip player_id='284324' first='Carson' last='Heinle'] impressed me enough to place inside the top ten among the class of 2025 passers. Highly productive sophomore campaign at Kiski Area. 1200+ total yards in just six games. Would have placed even higher had the young man been able to play in more games. That can't be held against him. 6'2, 180, a build that rivals [player_tooltip player_id='667958' first='Patrick' last='Smith']'s, [player_tooltip player_id='284324' first='Carson' last='Heinle'] is going to have his shot at placing as the best QB in attendance.
